Needed point of reversing!

She is supposed to be named Pearl. The default name for female DP Character is Pearl! Fans didn't call her Pearl for no reason. "Hikari" is one of optional names like "Ash" for Red or "Hiro" for Gold. Brendan and May are named Brendan and May not Ruby and Sapphire because they weren't named Ruby and Sapphire in the game. In the game default names for them were Brendan and May. But in D/P characters are named after game (Daiya and Pearl). The names that come from Game Editions are considered as default. No one calls Red Ash. So, why do we call Pearl Hikari? D/P continues to name characters after game! What's the pon of moving Pearl back to Hikari? I didn't move the article to Pearl without a point. I still think I was right.

Because the situation is exactly the same as Ruby and Sapphire. (paraphrased from this explanation by 振霖)

Her name in the games could be different. Therefore, it should stay Hikari until one is offically revealed. - 17:13 EST 03/19/2007 Paperfairy

I don't see why it would be different after May. Serebii stated the name was the same in the games as well, although I'm not sure how much credit to give that. --Zeta 21:18, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

This page must be moved to Down. Anime doesn't change the characters' default name. It was like this with Misty, May, Japanese Hikari and certainly will be like this with Dawn. - Taylor 22:05, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

Is this still a stub? it seems like it's long enough to not be considered as a stub anymore.--Ozzie 09:19, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

her 'mon

why dont we know what the pokemons held item is? cant we just use thief in a double battle or something to find out? OrigamiGuy-Talk-Contribs-Mudkipz 16:40, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

optional names in Platinum?

seeing how the Japanese version of Platinum has been out for a while, can anyone add the Japanese optional names for Dawn? or are we waiting for the other languages to be released before doing anything in this regard? -KinCryos 18:50, 1 January 2009 (UTC)

Anime Dawn

She appears to be changing to her Platinum clothing soon, should that be mentioned in the article,or is it too early(or not notible)? Lovely Rose 00:54, 19 March 2009 (UTC)

Speculation, most likely. The Dark Fiddler - You enter a poorly lit room... 00:56, 19 March 2009 (UTC)

To me, it looks more like temporary clothing for when they get to Snowpoint.Totodilesentret 12:35, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

This is a spectaculation. Moreover she may stay in them through the BF as it is a part of Platinum. --Prongs (TalkContributions) 12:38, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
"Wait 'til the episode airs", if ever the clothe-change will get an episode near soon. Ҝəυzø8 12:57, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

Who says Ash is going to the Battle Frontier? Anyway, the clothes just seem like winter clothes to me, and she's wearing her normal clothes in that picture with Ambipom where she is apparantly in a.... ping-pong tournament.Totodilesentret 14:26, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

Another thing that makes me think this is those things in her hair. They are yellow in D/P, but pink in Platinum.Totodilesentret 18:41, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

Artwork is bigger

Is it me or is Dawn's artwork much, much larger than usual?NoriakiZ 15:01, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

Yep. The page got overwhelmed. I'll try to do experiment with thumbnails. --Maxim 15:04, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
RikkiKitsune took away the |150px in the info box in an edit. I'm sure it was an accident, but I fixed it. The Dark Fiddler - You enter a poorly lit room... 15:05, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

Is there a way to get their(Dawn and Lucas's) BR model images?

Or does anyone have them? Lovely Rose 22:39, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

What's the Lass's Japanese name, for concidental comparison reasons? Lovely Rose 17:08, 10 May 2010 (UTC)

Sprite template

It's all screwed up! It completely overlaps some of the text. I tried re-aligning it, but it didn't work! What should we do? Flyingtypefan 03:35, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

It just needed to be moved down the page; the infobox bumped into it a little. —darklordtrom 03:51, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

Now it's being half-covered by the Pokemon template. Flyingtypefan 02:44, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

I don't see it. You must have some crazy kind of resolution. —darklordtrom 03:08, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

I wondered, could we add that her scarf is longer in the games than in the anime, in the triva? --Mattii 19:53, 18 December 2010 (UTC)

S.S. Anne

In Pokémon Platinum it is mentioned that Professor Rowan traveled to Kanto with his assistent, Dawn (or Lucas of course). Events of FRLG took part 3 years prior to Platinum. In these games, on S.S. Anne we can find Lass Dawn (ユカ Yuka) accompanied by Gentleman, either Brooks (スミス Smith), or Lamar (パーカー Parker), I can't remember exactly, which one. Does this coincidence trivia worthy? --ЫъГЬ 10:58, 19 January 2011 (UTC)

I don't think so, since the Japanese names don't match, and only Dawn's English name matches. Where in Platinum is this mentioned? --SnorlaxMonster 11:12, 19 January 2011 (UTC)

Right at the start at lake verity or is that Diamond and Pearl Emeraldben 12:58, 3 August 2011 (UTC)

Waaait a moment.

If Lucas/Dawn use only first and second stage, then how you're supposed to see third stage? Infernape is used by Elite Four, but what about Empoleon and Torterra? Marked +-+-+ (talk) 14:45, 28 December 2012 (UTC)

Victory Road. --SnorlaxMonster 14:48, 28 December 2012 (UTC)

I just arrived at Route 206, where Rowan's aid gives away the exp. Share, and the aid told me he is Prof. Rowans aid and Dawn's father. Is this the same for Lucas if you play as Dawn? Should this be noted on Dawn's (and Lucas') bulbapedia pages? Danny199 (talk) 21:11, 21 December 2015 (UTC)

It already is. glikglak 21:50, 21 December 2015 (UTC)
