Partner Play
Partner Play is a feature in Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! that allows the player to pet and feed the partner Pikachu and Eevee, similar to Pokémon-Amie, Pokémon Refresh, Pokémon Camp, and picnics. It can be accessed by pressing the "Play with <partner's Pokémon's nickname>" button on the START menu.
Petting

In both TV and Tabletop Mode on the Nintendo Switch system, the player can use the Joy-Con to move the cursor and press the A or ZA button to pet the partner Pokémon. The Y button can be used to center the cursor. In Tabletop and Handheld mode, petting can be done using the touch screen.
Feeding
Pressing the Berry button in the bottom right corner opens the Berry menu. The player can select a Berry using either a Joy-Con (in TV or Tabletop Mode) or the touch screen (in Tabletop or Handheld Mode) and feed it to the partner Pokémon. A hidden hunger counter ranging from 0 to 6 determines how many Berries the partner Pokémon will eat; once the counter reaches 0, it will not eat Berries until the counter is increased again.
| Event | Hunger |
|---|---|
| Start of the day | +3 |
| Defeat a Trainer | +1 |
| Feed the partner Pokémon a Berry | -1 |
Each day, the game will randomly choose one of the available Berries which the partner Pokémon will favor. The partner Pokémon will wiggle its ears when the favored Berry is selected. A bonus mulitplier is applied to the amount the Partner Power and gift counters are increased for first Berry fed to the partner Pokémon each day if that Berry is favored; if a non-favored Berry is fed first, the bonus is not applied.

Partner Powers
Partner Powers are special effects the player can activate in battle after using Partner Play. Petting or feeding the partner Pokémon increases a hidden Partner Power counter which ranges from 0 to 255. Once this counter reaches 100 or higher, the partner Pokémon will appear with a Joy-Con above the "Fight" button in battle. The player can then wave the Joy-Con to activate Partner Power.
Activating Partner Power while the partner Pokémon is in battle allows it to use an additional exclusive move (Pika Papow for Pikachu or Veevee Volley for Eevee). Activating it while the partner Pokémon is not in battle raises the Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed of the player's active Pokémon by 1 stage instead.

Due to a glitch, feeding a favored Golden Razz Berry to the partner Pokémon while the current value of the Partner Power counter is 10 or higher can result in the counter overflowing to a lower value.
Gift items
The partner Pokémon will occasionally give the player an item as a gift. Petting and feeding the partner Pokémon increases a hidden gift counter which ranges from 0 to 255. Once this counter reaches 255, the partner Pokémon will present the player with an item an item the next time they open the Partner Play menu.
The items that can be received depend on the partner Pokémon's friendship (except the Small Bouquet, which is always received after entering the Hall of Fame for the first time regardless of the gift counter or the partner Pokémon's friendship), with more items becoming available as its friendship increases. All available items have an equal chance of being received.
