Mighty Pokémon

Mighty Pokémon (Japanese: つよいポケモン) are Pokémon that can appear in Pokémon GO. They have certain properties that are distinct from other Pokémon players can encounter. During an encounter with a mighty Pokémon, its CP value is replaced with "!!!".

Properties

Mighty Pokémon have the following properties:

  • Their IVs are no lower than 13.
  • They are more likely to be XL or XXL.[1]
  • They are more difficult to capture, which can be attenuated by using a GO Safari Ball.[1]
  • They can be shiny. Shiny Mighty Pokémon do not flee.

Trivia

  • If a Mighty Pokémon is the player's buddy Pokémon, any wild Zorua that appear will also appear Mighty, and Zorua's CP will appear as "!!!" until it is captured.
