Mega Evolution is the first main expansion of cards from the Asian Mega Evolution Series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, released exclusively in Indonesia and Thailand. It is an adaptation of the Japanese Mega Brave/Mega Symphonia expansions.

Information

Mega Evolution, known in Indonesian as Evolusi Mega and in Thai as วิวัฒนาการเมก้า, is the first main expansion of cards for the Asian Mega Evolution Series of the TCG, exclusively released in Indonesia and Thailand. It contains cards from the Japanese Mega Brave/Mega Symphonia expansions, and thus the set composition resembles the English expansion with the same name. The expansion introduces Mega Evolution into the Indonesian and Thai metagame for the first time as Mega Evolution Pokémon ex cards, each of which is worth 3 Prize cards on defeat and features the typical stage and Evolution of its depicted Pokémon. This variant of Pokémon ex uses a black-and-yellow symbol. Each booster pack of Mega Evolution contains 5 cards.

Mega Evolution releases in Thailand on September 12, 2025, and in Indonesia on September 26, 2025. Besides being sold in individual boosters and boxes of 30 packs, Mega Evolution is also available in 2-pack blisters known as "Special Set" (Indonesian: Set Spesial; Thai: สเปเชียลเซ็ต). Special Set blisters are exclusively sold from September 22, 2025 in convenience store chain 7-Eleven in Thailand, and from October 1, 2025 in convenience store chain Indomaret in Indonesia. Each Special Set contains a Holo promo card of Chikorita, Scorbunny, or Sobble with the Indonesian/Thai Mega Evolution logo stamped on the bottom right corner of the artwork.

For the Indonesian release, a new type of product known as the "10-Pack Set Plus" (Indonesian: Set 10 Pak PLUS) was also introduced, adapting the Taiwan and Hong Kong product of the same name. The Mega Evolution 10-Pack Set Plus contains 10 booster packs, a cardboard deck case, and a promo card pack. The promo card pack contains one random selection of three sets of Holofoil M-P Promotional Pokémon cards with the Mega Evolution logo on the artwork, plus 5 Basic Energy cards matching the Pokémon's types. The M-P Promo selection are as follows:

• Grass set: Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, and Celebi, plus 5 Basic Grass Energy
• Psychic set: Abra, Ralts, and Kirlia, plus 5 Basic Psychic Energy
• Fighting set: Makuhita, Riolu, and Marshadow, plus 5 Basic Fighting Energy
