Scarlet & Violet: Bonds of Destiny is the name given to the special set released in the Asian Scarlet & Violet Era of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. It is an Indonesia- and Thailand-exclusive adaptation of Battle Partners, the ninth Japanese main Scarlet & Violet Era TCG expansion, and also includes select cards from the Japanese Hot Wind Arena subset.

Information

Bonds of Destiny, known in Indonesian as Ikatan Takdir and in Thai as สายใยแห่งโชคชะตา, is a special set exclusive to Indonesia and Thailand released for the Asian Scarlet & Violet Era of the TCG. It is the seventh such set for the Indonesian market, and the third such set for the Thai market. It is largely an adaptation of the Japanese Battle Partners expansion, which introduces Trainer's Pokémon to the Scarlet & Violet Era. Those Trainer's Pokémon belong to Steven, N, Lillie, Hop, Marnie, or Iono. Unlike the English Journey Together expansion, which also adapts Battle Partners, Bonds of Destiny also includes cards from the ex Starter Sets Marnie's Morpeko & Grimmsnarl ex and Steven's Beldum & Metagross ex, as well as select cards from the Japanese Hot Wind Arena subset — all of which are included in English as part of the Destined Rivals expansion. In total, Bonds of Destiny contains 20 illustration rare cards, 15 Full Art ultra rare cards, seven special illustration rare cards, and four gold-etched hyper rare cards. Each booster pack of Bonds of Destiny contains 5 cards.

Bonds of Destiny was released in Thailand on April 11, 2025, and in Indonesia on April 18, 2025 — the Indonesian expansion was intended to release on the same date as the Thai expansion, but its release date ended up delayed by a week. A Collector's Set (Indonesian: Set Kolektor) for Bonds of Destiny was available for sale at the same time as the set's release in Indonesia. The Indonesian Bonds of Destiny Collector's Set contains 10 booster packs, a card list booklet, and a stamped Full Art promo card of Lycanroc.

Besides being sold in individual boosters and boxes of 30 packs, Bonds of Destiny is also available in 2-pack blisters known as "Special Set" (Indonesian: Set Spesial; Thai: สเปเชียลเซ็ต). Special Set blisters are exclusively sold beginning April 21, 2025 in convenience store chain Indomaret in Indonesia, and in convenience store chain 7-Eleven in Thailand. Each Special Set contains a Holo promo card of Sprigatito, Larvitar, or Koffing with the Bonds of Destiny logo stamped on the bottom right corner of the artwork.
