The Element Pokédex books are a series of 12 books in the shape of different Poké Balls. Each book features all the Pokémon of that element up until the end of Generation III. All of the books are based on Pokémon the Series, though some information from the games is used, such as mentions of items and characters who haven't appeared in the animated series, such as Janine.
