Eelevate (Japanese: うなぎのぼり Eel Climb) is an Ability introduced during Generation IX, in Pokémon Champions. It is the signature Ability of Mega Eelektross.
Effect
| This Ability effect may be in need of research. Reason: Investigate the specifics on how the stat-boosting part of the Ability works; is it the same as Beast Boost in previous games? You can discuss this on the talk page. |
In battle
Eelevate renders the Pokémon with this Ability immune to damaging Ground-type moves (except Thousand Arrows) and causes its highest stat (other than HP) to increase by one stage for each Pokémon knocked out by a damage-dealing move from the Pokémon with Eelevate. It also makes it ungrounded, therefore unaffected by the effects of Arena Trap, Spikes, Toxic Spikes, Sticky Web, Rototiller, and terrain. Additionally, Poison-type Pokémon with Eelevate do not remove Toxic Spikes upon switching in.
These immunities are lost during Gravity or if the Pokémon with Eelevate is holding an Iron Ball, is under the effects of Ingrain, or has been hit by Smack Down or Thousand Arrows.

Trivia
- Eelevate's English name is a portmanteau of "eel", "Eelektross", and "elevate".
- In Japan, the Ability is named うなぎのぼり Unagi Nobori (literally "Eel Climb"), which is a metaphor used to describe rapid value increases that are often unpredictable and out of control, much like how an eel slips out of someone's hand when grabbed.
- Eelevate combines the effects of two other Abilities, namely Levitate and Beast Boost.
- Due to the lack of IVs in Pokémon Champions, Mega Eelektross cannot boost its Defense or Speed through Eelevate without the use of stat changing moves.
