Location of Wayward Cave in Sinnoh. | ||||
Pokémon world locations |
Wayward Cave (Japanese: 迷いの洞窟 Bewildering Cave) is a multi-floor cave located in western Sinnoh. It lies on Route 206, with its entrance located beneath the Cycling Road. Cut is required to access the cave, and Rock Smash is required to navigate it; the cave is dark, but can be lit up with Flash.
There is a hidden entrance to Wayward Cave directly under the Cycling Road, west of the main entrance. This portion of the cave is notably the only habitat of wild Gible in Sinnoh (other than the Grand Underground in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl). In Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, Brilliant Diamond, and Shining Pearl, Strength is required to navigate this area.
Visiting the cave is completely optional—it not playing any role in the plot of the games.
Geography
1F
Wayward Cave is just as the name suggests; it is very easy to get lost in. Most of the cave's features are the same and are repeated at every twist and turn. The cave is very dark, so Flash is needed to light the path.
B1F
There is a hidden entrance obscured by the Cycling Road that leads to a basement floor, filled with various bike obstacles, such as muddy slopes and jump ramps. Flash is not needed to light the area in the basement floor. This is also the only place where wild Gible are found.
