:Aloha! I apologize for the awkward writing. Essentially Rotom's height in-game in PLA is based on it's literal Pokedex and summary descriptions (if you have a Rotom that's 2'5" for example, it will literally show up as 2'5" when out of its Poke Ball, regardless of form). In Pokemon HOME, Rotom's forms ignore the 1'00" height in the size comparison feature, meaning Frost Rotom is the size of an actual refrigerator despite the Pokedex saying it should be 1 foot tall. I hope this explains things! [[User:TrainerSplash|TrainerSplash]] ([[User talk:TrainerSplash|talk]]) 20:04, 1 August 2023 (UTC)

By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Pokémon TCG Illustration Collection artbook citation

Hi there! i would like to ask you something. On 4 September 2022, you made an edit to the Yusuke Ohmura page mentioning that he designed Froakie, citing the "Pokémon Trading Card Game Illustration Collection" art book as your source. If i may ask, do you know the specific page where the info is mentioned? Thanks in advance! Anzasquiddles (talk) 14:05, 8 October 2022 (UTC)

It should be available on page 183 on his personal section of the page. TrainerSplash (talk) 22:57, 8 October 2022 (UTC)

Removing datamined information without cause

Hi, just so you're aware, nearly all game stats, mechanics, and other "not explained ingame" information on Bulbapedia is provided by datamining the games. Bulbapedia has a policy against posting information related to leaks, not datamined information readily available in a currently released game. Please do not continue to revert edits on the basis that "the game already contains some information about the DLC" is equivalent to a leak or "spoilers" and should be censored.
Additionally, public announcements such as the DLC announcement video for Scarlet and Violet are also very much not violating any policy, information provided by official announcements is fair game for being documented. If this was not the case, we would need to scrub all the mechanics pages for the last several generations, all game stats from individual Pokémon pages, etc. We also have existing template that cover warning readers about things that are considered "major game spoilers", which already existing Pokémon will appear in an upcoming DLC does not constitute a major spoiler.
If you consider it a spoiler, or you believe datamined information should not be on Bulbapedia, that is personal opinion, not policy, and should not be used as your basis for making edits, or dictating the content allowed on Bulbapedia pages. Atrius97 (talk) 16:08, 8 April 2023 (UTC)

This is the worst take imaginable and completely ignores what my intention or point is. But I don't really give enough of hoot to deal with it longer, so do what you want I guess. TrainerSplash (talk) 23:33, 8 April 2023 (UTC)
You hid a list of Pokémon that will not have any Switch game compatibility from the trivia section of the HOME page, twice, with the comments that "it was a spoiler", and "non-concrete" despite the information being from a reliable datamined source, already available in the Scarlet and Violet code. If you had some other intention or point, it wasn't apparent, it really just looked like hiding content for the sake of "I think this is a spoiler/don't trust datamined sources". The source(s) used for that section are fairly reliable and hasn't given false information in the past, for reference. Atrius97 (talk) 07:16, 9 April 2023 (UTC)
I simply thought the information shouldn't be there (and talking with other users, turns out I mistook it for other information anyways). I'd appreciate it if you'd stop with the passive aggressiveness and assuming of malicious intent and just admit that some people can make mistakes. There's an easier way to settle this than with rude remarks. I never said the information was wrong (I think it's correct), and I didn't think it deserved to be there or on that page (if it's okay to have there, that's all that needed to be said, I'm fine with admitting I did something wrong).

I'm planning to end this here, so unless there's some other weird thing you'd like to rudely speak to me of, then by all means, please do so. TrainerSplash (talk) 07:24, 9 April 2023 (UTC)

Responding on someone's talk page to discuss a dispute is standard practice, as opposed to starting an edit/revert war, which I wanted to avoid. Coming here to explain why it the information is/should remain there was not intended as being passive aggressive, I tried to lay out my stance as clearly as possible, and you have my apologies if my tone appeared that way. Gallery images

Images in the galleries shouldn't be so big that it's in your face, they should be of reasonable size. If one wants to see the image more clearer, then they can click on the image to see its full size.--ForceFire 09:38, 9 May 2023 (UTC)

Speaking of galleries, may I ask why you are moving them to a different position on the pages? They belong in between the games and quotes sections. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 08:53, 18 May 2023 (UTC)

Rotom appliances height trivia

Hi! I read a trivia you wrote in List of Pokémon by height#Trivia: “The height of a Rotom and its forms in Pokémon Legends: Arceus are based on their average height, showing the height listed in their summary, as opposed to the normal sizes of the appliances like in Pokémon HOME's size comparison feature.” I do not understand it, and other users I showed it to are not sure either. Could you clarify it? Thanks! --Myvh (talk) 17:09, 1 August 2023 (UTC)

Edit warring

Hi! Regarding Ash's Lycanroc, if you're not already aware, I wanted to let you know that adding information back in to an article that has been removed (not including clear vandalism) can constitute as edit warring, especially without much of an explanation. Please, in the future, when there is a disagreement regarding the content of a page, make sure to use the talk page and reach a consensus before making additional edits. If an agreement cannot be reached, you can always bring the issue to a staff member.

We will be making an annoucement regarding the status of the page soon. We appreciate your patience. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me or another staff member. Thank you. Landfish7 03:06, 24 August 2023 (UTC)

Trials on the Isle trivia

Hi! I'm wondering what your reason was for removing the second trivia point from the Trials on the Isle page. I thought it was useful to explain where the joke comes from so people who weren't involved in the fandom when SM released could understand it, and just saying "No" doesn't explain to me why you removed it. Storm Aurora (talk) 03:58, 25 August 2023 (UTC)

Alola! Hi! To be completely honest, I think I was a bit hasty with it due to personal bias on how the characters are to be interpreted. But I removed the trivia as a whole because I don't think it really belongs, it leans too much on fandom discourse and non-canon (even if the joke itself is based on how the larger community sees the character). The way it was worded made it seem like it was grounded in canon or if the characters didn't emote in any sort of situation at all (which isnt' true in the slightest) or that it was just exclusive to them (all main characters up until SV acted like this), when in reality it was just something more noticeable in Sun and Moon in particular and the joke in Masters played it off that (for better or for worse, but my bias there is irrelevant lol). It was worded awkwardly and just overall rubbed me the wrong way. I thought it was just better off to be removed to avoid giving nay sense of wrong interpretation from any side, (and also if you have to explain the joke it wouldn't be funny :P )
It could be reworded so that the information makes it so that it's a fandom inside joke and something that all silent protagonists just kinda do. Not everyone interprets the events of the game the same way. And to say that most (if not all) cut scenes in the games are like that feels awkward as heck when it's not only inconsistent within SM-related media, but also something that all protagonists do. If you feel like what I did was done completely in bias and was unnecessary feel free to revert it (I'll cope in private about it lol), but I don't think the information belongs at all and/or makes a huge misinterpretation of the actual joke/characters itself. Masters EX

The only reason I deleted the "Pokémon Masters Animated Trailer" in the "In the anime" section from Gladion, Lusamine‎‎, and Lillie page is that it wasn't consistent with the other character pages that also appeared in that trailer. For example, Palmer had the "Pokémon Masters Animated Trailer" in the "In the anime" section as well, until he was added to the game, in which case someone moved it to Palmer's Masters' page. All I'm doing is trying to be consistent with the other character pages. TBR2001 (talk) 20:10, 5 October 2023 (UTC)

The only characters that have "Pokémon Masters Animated Trailer" in the "In the anime" section are Cilan, Chili, and Cress, because they aren't playable in the game yet, so they don't have their own Masters Pages as of now. TBR2001 (talk) 20:21, 5 October 2023 (UTC)

This is not a reason to remove information. Pages should be consistent yes, but they should also lead into other pages. The information should either be grouped up with the Masters section or split with the anime stuff. As you've been told before, if the other pages don't include them you can always just add them. There should never be a reason to actively remove information unless it's wrong (in which, if it's misinformation it should be reworded instead). Entire character biography and gallery sections are one thing, mentioning a cameo is another. It's okay for pages to have the same information. TrainerSplash (talk) 18:56, 8 October 2023 (UTC)

Hi.

In regards to recent back-and-forth editing, a reminder to please consider reaching an agreement or consensus using talk pages rather than using the undo button. Thank you. Landfish7 20:17, 5 October 2023 (UTC)

Ultra Wormhole edit

I admit. In retrospect, I started thinking I should've added the info back in the way you did. I just reacted impulsively, and I agree it looks much better when it's on the same row as the rest of the paragraph. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 00:44, 2 January 2024 (UTC)

No prob bob! Thanks for understanding! TrainerSplash (talk) 00:49, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
