Professor Araragi (Japanese: アララギ博士 Dr. Araragi) is the resident Pokémon professor of the Isshu region. She is the first main series Pokémon professor who is female.
In the games
Professor Araragi will debut in Pokémon Black and White, where, like the other professors, she will give the player a Pokédex; however, the player's starter Pokémon is actually a gift from the player's parent.
In the anime
Professor Araragi makes her first appearance in BW001.
Trivia
- While Araragi is the first female professor in the games, she will not be the first female professor in the anime, being beaten by Professor Ivy of the Orange Archipelago by more than ten years.
