In the spin-off games
Pokémon Masters EX
Rose and Oleana appear during the Galar chapter of the Villain Arc, coming from an alternate timeline where Rose hasn't yet started the Darkest Day. Rose becomes interested in the power of sync stones and is manipulated by Giovanni into trying to take over the management of this new energy source from Lear. Ultimately, he learns of Giovanni's true nature and lets sync stones stay in use as sync move catalysts.
In the anime
Main series
The logos of various Macro Cosmos subsidiaries were first seen in places such as Wyndon Station in Settling the Scorbunny! and Wyndon Stadium in Flash of the Titans!. Rose debuted in Toughing It Out!, and Macro Cosmos as a whole was first introduced in Sword and Shield, Slumbering Weald!, where Oleana, the Energy Plant, and the company's employees were first seen. The company served as the main antagonist of the Darkest Day arc, during which Rose attempted to revive Eternatus to provide Galar with limitless energy. Although his plans were ultimately foiled, both Rose and Oleana managed to get away and are currently in hiding.
Pokémon: Twilight Wings
In Pokémon: Twilight Wings, Oleana and Rose are two major recurring characters in the plot.
Thus, as in games, both are seen managing problems during Pokémon League events, how to evaluate Gym Leaders and doing public relations service for the event as seen in Letter.
In Assistant, much of the company's functioning is shown during Oleana's working day.
In the manga
Pokémon Adventures
Sword & Shield arc
Macro Cosmos was first mentioned by Casey in Ooh Shiny!! Legendary Equipment as the company that developed the Dynamax Band. In Blazing!! Bede's Feelings, Casey explained to Henry that Macro Cosmos focuses on energy and air operations, insurance, and lift production control. In Unbending!! Meet the Celebrities, a blurred version of the Macro Cosmos logo was seen.
Trivia
- Macro Cosmos's logo bears a striking resemblance to a symbol that appears in the Pokémon Comprehensive Laboratory from POKÉMON Detective Pikachu. Interestingly, this movie premiered before Pokémon Sword and Shield where Macro Cosmos was properly introduced, but the logo could be seen a few weeks before in the July 8 trailer for Pokémon Sword and Shield at Bea's gym.[1]
