Jynx (Japanese: ルージュラ Rougela, German: Rossana, French: Lippoutou) is an Ice/Psychic-type Pokémon.

Pokédex entries

Pokémon Yellow
Appears to move to a rhythm of its own, as if it were dancing. It wiggles its hips as it walks.
Pokémon Emerald
A Jynx sashays rhythmically as if it were dancing. Its motions are so bouncingly alluring, people seeing it are compelled to shake their hips without noticing.

Name origin

A jinx is a curse or hex of bad luck. Rougela appears to be a feminized version of rouge, a type of makeup.

What it's based on is a controversial topic within the fandom, although common interpretations are a Nordic woman (possibly Hel, goddess of the underworld), ガン黒 ganguro, face-black, or an opera singer (possibly referring to the stereotypical image of a large Valkyrie).
