River (Japanese: ルイ Rui) is the female player character of New Pokémon Snap. Her male counterpart is Jamie.
Appearance
River's outfit consists of yellow-and-white visor cap, orange-and-yellow jacket with white short sleeves, black sleeved undershirt, navy blue shorts, multicolored striped socks, and a pair of white shoes with pink highlights. She wears a shoulder strap on her neck to carry her camera and a pinkish-brown backpack by her back.

New Pokémon Snap
River is the protagonist of New Pokémon Snap. She arrives at the Laboratory of Ecology and Natural Sciences and meets Professor Mirror and his assistant Rita, who both task her with going across Lental using the NEO-ONE vehicle to take pictures of wild Pokémon in their natural habitat. River is gifted a camera by Professor Mirror and is first sent to Florio Nature Park.
