Crystabloom

A crystabloom (Japanese: クリスタフラワー Crysta Flower) is a type of flower native to the Lental region that is capable of glowing as a result of the Illumina phenomenon. The logo for the Laboratory of Ecology and Natural Sciences (L.E.N.S) research institute was designed after the crystabloom.

The flowers differ in appearance and glow different colors depending on which island they are growing on.

On Florio Island, they glow blue.
On Belusylva Island, they glow yellow.
On the Maricopia Islands, they glow pink.
On Voluca Island, they glow green.
On Durice Island, they glow purple.
On Aurus Island, they glow gold.

Crystablooms are stored in a separate section of the Photodex and are not awarded a score.

Crystablooms in the Illumina state will affect Pokémon within a certain radius, or those that interact with the flowers, causing them to temporarily enter the Illumina state as well. Certain crystablooms on select courses will be in the Illumina state by default.

After photographing a crystabloom undergoing the Illumina phenomenon, Professor Mirror will give the player Illumina orbs, which can be thrown at Pokémon and crystablooms to temporarily put them into the Illumina state, which can result in special interactions with the environment or nearby Pokémon.

That's a Florio Island crystabloom. Our institute's logo was designed after this flower! We've only recently learned what makes them glow - there's still so much to learn about them.	That's a Belusylva Island crystabloom. This variety gives off a sweet aroma that's similar to fluffruit, so Pokémon are really enticed by it!	This crystabloom is native to the Maricopia Islands. It's remarkable how they grow and blossom under the sea. Perhaps they're biologically closer to coral or seaweed than to flowers...
Voluca Island	Durice Island	Aurus Island

That's a Voluca Island crystabloom. Even in such a hot, dry environment, they bloom bright and vibrant as ever. They also seem to have properties similar to those found in minerals.	That's a Durice Island crystabloom. They can grow and bloom even without sunlight because the Illumina energy that flows throughout Lental provides them with nourishment!	That's an Aurus Island crystabloom. They contain traces of each type of energy we've detected around Lental. We believe they may be the progenitor of all other species of crystabloom.
