Trivia
- Unlike most evolved Pokémon, except in the case of baby Pokémon, it is far more common in the wild than its pre-evolution. This is a product of Kricketune being available at all times of day, unlike Kricketot.
Origin
Kricketune appears to be based on a violin beetle.
Name origin
Its name comes from cricket and tune. Its Japanese name may come from 蟋蟀 koorogi, cricket, and a corruption of 曲 kyoku, tune.
In other languages
- German: Zirpeise - A combination of zirpen (to chirp) and Weise (tune).
- French: Melokrik
- Korean: 귀뚤톡크 Gwittultokkeu
