Heat Wave (Japanese: ねっぷう Hot Wind) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation III.
Effect
Heat Wave inflicts damage and has a 10% chance of burning the target.
Heat Wave hits all opposing Pokémon in double battles. In a triple battle, Heat Wave will only hit opposing adjacent Pokémon.

- Many Template:Type2 Pokémon can learn Heat Wave by Platinum move tutor, due to Heat Wave's Japanese name being Hot Wind.
- With the exception of Mew, Arceus and Smeargle, Vibrava and Flygon are the only Pokémon who can learn this move by tutoring that are neither Flying- nor Fire-type.
