Redirects

Just wondering about the importance of some of the redirects you made today. Palika to Palkia? Arkius to Arceus? Are they common spelling errors or something? --AndyPKMN 23:31, 19 February 2010 (UTC)

They're common according to Cartoon Network. They use them in meta tags on the site.--immewnitythemew 01:18, 20 February 2010 (UTC)

Pokémon

Remember that Pokémon is spelled with an acute e (Éé). Mamoswine Gliscor 16:56, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

I misspelled that... where?--Mew a.k.a. Immewnity was here at 21:44, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
Oh, sorry. Copied it directly from CN; they spelled it wrong?--Mew a.k.a. Immewnity was here at 21:45, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

Double redirects

Next time you move a page, make sure you fix up any of these. Otherwise, half the articles are pointing in the wrong place. —darklordtrom 00:25, 26 September 2009 (UTC)

I tried my best.--Mew a.k.a. Immewnity was here at 03:50, 26 September 2009 (UTC)

Dude

You need to ask before you start a giant project like that. No one knows what the editorial board will think, and if they decide no, then we have tons of pages on our hands to delete. Wait for a response before trying to implement a huge project. Things like that need to be passed through the editorial board first. MaverickNate 13:07, 27 September 2009 (UTC)

I'll stop for now, then.--Mew a.k.a. Immewnity was here at 13:08, 27 September 2009 (UTC)--Mew a.k.a. Immewnity was here at 13:08, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
Thank you. MaverickNate 13:09, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
And for future reference, all categories get categorized too. MaverickNate 13:10, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
But what would they be cat'd to?--Mew a.k.a. Immewnity was here at 13:14, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
I talked it over with the members online now, and we decided that if HGSS keeps the only having to see each Pokémon like they did in DP, then we can start it. Is that fair enough? As for the category, I'd say something like... Trainer's Pokémon by location...but that's just me. Now, I'm going to delete the ones that are already made, so that we don't have empty cat's sitting around, but if HGSS actually does what DP did, we can recreate them. MaverickNate 14:26, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
Ok. Now who do we know that has HGSS and speaks/types English...--Mew a.k.a. Immewnity was here at 14:48, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
I reckon seeing at least TTE saying somewhere that he imported one. I have HG on emulator, but it'll take me a looooong time before I could say anything regarding this question. UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 14:50, 27 September 2009 (UTC)

Very Good

The images of the Sinnoh League Badges, you are the best in Bulbapedia with the images, can you tell where did you founded that images? - unsigned comment from Mario136 (talkcontribs)

Thanks! They were from NintendoWorld Report--Mew a.k.a. Immewnity was here at 01:23, 7 October 2009 (UTC)

its been proven

yeah --TheLastCharmander 20:26, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

Where?--Mew a.k.a. Immewnity was here at 20:28, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
Oh my bad. i thought you were referring to the fact that Mewtwo destroyed the lab and not the fact the scientists were killed. But wouldn't the huge explosion be a hint?

--TheLastCharmander 20:31, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

No. Say they ran away fast enough. And people have survived explosions.--Mew a.k.a. Immewnity was here at 20:32, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
Actually the Dr. Fuji article states that Fuji was the first character killed on-screen in the anime and that all the other scientists were presumably killed along with him. Sorry my friend, but it seems TheLastCharmander is right on this one (;

--TheLastCharmander 00:22, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

Hi

I noticed you have been editing the User: namespace a lot recently. You may not be aware of this, but Bulbapedia has a Userspace policy that asks users to try and minimize the number of userspace edits they make in a short period of time. Heavy editing of these personal pages can put undue stress on the server, so please leave your page alone for now and go help out in the mainspace. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, after all, so please help us to complete it! If you edit the mainspace more often, you will be allowed to edit your userpage more often too. Thanks! --Psyライダー 21:39, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, I know. However, if it is for a possible mainspace addition, as most of them were, they do not count.--Mew a.k.a. Immewnity was here at 00:07, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
It's not that "they do not count", it's that the staff are more lenient about them. To be making a ton of userspace edits even for mainspace use, a high level of mainspace contribution is still required. We're working on an update to the userspace policy; this should become clear for you soon. —darklordtrom 05:05, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
Ooops, sorry! That's what I meant.--Mew a.k.a. Immewnity was here at 15:01, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

Template creation procedure:

  1. Create template in the userspace - Check
  2. Ask users for opinions via the template's talk page - Undone
  3. Get admin approval to mainspace - Undone
  4. Mainspace the template - Check

Umm... It looks like you skipped 2 very important steps there with this template. So, how about we go back and try this again, starting back at Step 2? - Kogoro | Talk to me - 17:41, 30 October 2009 (UTC)

Oh, shoot. Forgot about that. Sure. You're an admin, right?--Mew a.k.a. Immewnity was here at 18:09, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
I'd also like to know where these steps were documented.--Mew a.k.a. Immewnity was here at 18:13, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm an administrator, that would be why I was able to delete the redirect that was made when I moved your template back. The steps, it should be fairly obvious that regular users shouldn't be adding templates whenever they please. - Kogoro | Talk to me - 18:26, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
Should be documented, though. Because to me the second one would not necessarily apply if an admin already looked it over.--Mew a.k.a. Immewnity was here at 18:28, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
And did you get permission for Template:Grass color light or similar templates?--Mew a.k.a. Immewnity was here at 19:39, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, I did, actually. Direct permission from TTEchidna, just so you know. - Kogoro | Talk to me - 19:44, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
Where? I believe you but just want to know where.--Mew a.k.a. Immewnity was here at 19:48, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
AIM. It's how we all communicate. You oughta join us. TTEchidna 20:02, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
Ah, good ol' crashy AIM. :-) --Mew a.k.a. Immewnity was here at 20:04, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
Mine hardly does; it has trouble starting at times, but no crashes. TTEchidna 20:08, 30 October 2009 (UTC)

Also and by the way

You're somewhat of an amateur programmer, I get. Or at least an amateur web design guy. Anyway, I've got an idea for something we can do. TTEchidna 20:08, 30 October 2009 (UTC)

Okey...--Mew a.k.a. Immewnity was here at 20:10, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
Discuss with me via AIM, though. This isn't to be public knowledge yet. TTEchidna 20:11, 30 October 2009 (UTC)

Template removals

Thanks for moving the templates. I just skimmed the help sections where it said to go ahead and create pages; I should have read them more thoroughly. Starscream 17:20, 31 October 2009 (UTC)

It's okay. B+Same thing just happened to me, in fact, and didn't want the admins to murder - I mean find you.--Mew a.k.a. Immewnity was here at 22:18, 31 October 2009 (UTC)

Hyper CD

Yes. I'm sure. Umeko has the CD. --electAbuzzzz 23:43, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

Wow. Interesting. Now just the link thing.--Mew a.k.a. Immewnity was here at 23:47, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
NVM.--Mew a.k.a. Immewnity was here at 23:49, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
(edit conflict) Dude. It was Nov 1999. It's been a full decade. The link is dead. And HyperCDs back then were obviously not what they are today, which solves your space questions. --electAbuzzzz 23:50, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
iirc the link lead to this video on the Atlantic Records site. This was ten years ago, though, so I'm not sure you'd want to rely on my memory and add that to the page. 梅子 23:52, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
Found the issue: HyperCDs and Hyper CDs are different.--Mew a.k.a. Immewnity was here at 23:58, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
Haha, yeah, audio CDs and CD-ROMs are different to begin with. :P 梅子 00:00, 26 November 2009 (UTC)

Im curious . . .

What's with a lot of the Pokemon Sugimori images being brightened up big time. What am I missing here? --Merry Christmas! Landfish7 18:14, 31 December 2009 (UTC)

Just a coloring difference. If you can find a full CMYK to RGB converter, be my guest.--immewnitythemew 21:03, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
No offence, but those brightly coloured pictures look awful! I think it would be better to keep the smaller, properly coloured images for the time being. Thanks! Taromon 17:24, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
I don't think these are how the images were supposed to look. You can't alter them and then say they are Sugi images. They are now your messed up un-official versions. They need to be swiched back. Bigger size is ok, but the color is too much. Blake Talk·Edits 19:51, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
"If you can find a full CMYK to RGB converter, be my guest." These images were not modified from their original state, and are official. I did not mess them up. Ask me about any and I'll give you my source. If you have a real problem, bring it to Maverick Nate.--immewnitythemew 02:34, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
But until we can find a CMYK to RGB converter, whatever that is, please can we keep the images as they are? They may be high quality but the colours are just far too bright. It's better to have a smaller, correctly coloured image. Please don't go replacing any more images just yet! Taromon 11:48, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
Plus we really don't need such huge images taking up space, they're only used for the infobox and.. not really anywhere else on the site. Why do we need them so huge?? Some of the original pictures were tiny and something bigger would've been better, but... not 1000px bigger. ▫▪Ťïňắ 16:09, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
"If you have a real problem, bring it to Maverick Nate." "These images were not modified from their original state, and are official." You have no right to tell me to stop the uploading. I feel like I'm repeating myself.--immewnitythemew 17:53, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
Sigh. Guys. Game Freak would save the images as CMYK because they're used on printed materials. There might be a setting in GIMP or Photoshop, though. And the high-res art is good. It means we can make the infobox look awesome, and also have it be all shiny and new. TTEchidna 18:30, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
Aren't these images available online somewhere where they have used the art in that form? I still don't understand why we need to alter them to make them like that. Are you saying they were originally drawn by Sugimori like this, and then converted to what we all know as his art, so it would be printable? After looking at them for a while I do somewhat agree that they look more like what they should, but these images were found ONLINE. If GameFreak wanted to show off the original artwork, they would have. This is what GameFreak has released so I think that is what we should show. Not our own customized view of how they would have been. Blake Talk·Edits 19:35, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
"These images were not modified from their original state"--immewnitythemew 19:59, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
Ok then. What was their original state? Because sugi artwork is shown on official Pokemon sites and it does not look like that. So like I said before, if official Pokemon sources don't use these style of images, why should we? This is all I am trying to figure out. Blake Talk·Edits 20:13, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
TTE's right, there may be a converter in Gimp. I have Gimp on my other computer, so if it does have the converter I'll try and do that with some of the images to make the colours right. I don't really fancy doing it with all 495+ Pokémon though! Taromon 20:02, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
052Meowth.png
I'm checking, too. There aren't that many that have CMYK; should just be some Kanto ones.--immewnitythemew 20:05, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
Look here. Does that look good?--immewnitythemew 20:49, 12 February 2010 (UTC)

Still a little bit bright, but it's OK. Is that after the conversion? Taromon 21:53, 12 February 2010 (UTC)

The colours are a lot better on the earlier version with the caption "testing". Taromon 21:54, 12 February 2010 (UTC)

Ash's Charizard new sprite!

Hello! Well.... I've been seen the Ash's Ketchum article and the charizard's sprite don't looks like with the ash's charizard, athoulgh it's the original sprite of HGSS Games I think that this sprite looks like more with the charizard of anime! Take a look!

File:Charizard alternative sprite.gif

What you think we change the sprites? this had already made with ash's burtefree.... so? It's all okay! Thanks!

Pedraito 02:28, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

No. Ash's Charizard doesn't have a special feature like Butterfree's Scarf.--ForceFire 03:02, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

But ash sceptile and your pre-evolutions were change too.. and don't have too much changes.... don't you like of charizard's new sprite ?

Pedraito 03:15, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

I'm not really one to go to for the custom sprites, and it seems to have been deleted.--immewnitythemew 03:25, 24 January 2010 (UTC)
Ash's Sceptile has a stick in his mouth, Charizard doesn't have anything. Besides, the Image is deleted--ForceFire 03:31, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

Um, hey

Hi. You say on your page you hate cheating, right? Then you blurt out that you met your empoleon at lv100. Yeez man how you do that? Anyway i'll trade your empoleon for a fully leagel (you can check if you want) darkrai, level 100. Caught on newmoon island, and i have the members card. If you wanna trade tell me on my talk page with a time (uk times please!) and your freind code. I'll post back with mine. Thanks. SpecialK Leiks Lucario and The Celebi Glitch 10:52, 13 February 2010 (UTC)

I didn't say it was caught at level 100. Plus, that's no longer up for trade; I just didn't get to updating it.--immewnitythemew 20:58, 14 February 2010 (UTC)

um...

Cheating

Just in case you were wondering, I do NOT like cheating. I consider Action Replay, GameShark, GameGenie, etc. ILLEGAL. It is like going into Apple's OS, taking out the few good things, and then using it. (if you are at all confuzzled, then they are taking out the fun parts of the game.) Anyone who boasts that they have a Pokémon before the respective event happens I believe cheated. Anyways, they could not have gotten it off the GTS, as you need to have the Pokémon on your Pokédex; that is, unless you CHEATED!

OH! I challenge you to a battle! 6 on 6! Wifi. You OK with that then? I will accept ANY Pokémon and I'll only use my Legal (that is, not ARed) Pokémon. SpecialK Leiks Lucario and The Celebi Glitch 18:54, 15 February 2010 (UTC)

Whoops! I meant lv. 5! There's no place to specify that, though... but I'll have to decline. I'm much to busy to do Wi-Fi battles or trades now. Ask me mid-June.--immewnitythemew 19:09, 15 February 2010 (UTC)

Where did this come from?

Where did the Pokéthlon art come from? The big HQ piece with Typhlosion breaking the bricks? -Sketch 22:14, 26 March 2010 (UTC)

Kanto HGSS

Thanks for getting the HGSS artwork of Kanto, but it needs to be fixed. Routes 27 and 28 are not on there. --HoennMaster 04:19, 4 April 2010 (UTC)

...okay? Is it on the full one? HGSS JohtoKanto.jpg--immewnitythemew 16:09, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
Yes....of course they are on the main map. The map should be cut off immediately east of Blackthorn City and New Bark Town. --HoennMaster 06:56, 5 April 2010 (UTC)
I'll try when/if I get the time, though I'll have problems being on until early May, so...--immewnitythemew 15:22, 5 April 2010 (UTC)

Shiny

Did you talk to anyone prior to doing so (capitalization)? It's actually a big deal, as there are many pages linked to this article. If not, I suggest you revert it until you get an ok. Spiky-Eared is correct here, but in Pokemon.com, it's Spiky-eared. It's BP's call. ht14 02:07, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

It was capitalized in some parts of the article already, so also for consistency. And Spiky-Eared is used on pokemongoldsilver.com --immewnitythemew 03:35, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
As I was saying though, did you discuss with higher up? ht14 00:03, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
No, which is why you're free to revert, though official would be best in my opinion.--immewnitythemew 18:06, 17 April 2010 (UTC)

Erhem

Redirects... despite a source or more... I think the should still be within reason. I mean, HearGold and Johnto... really? Honestly, I could say Mehnew, totally meaning Mew on a website, and that would be a redirect according to your reasoning... ht14 02:36, 23 April 2010 (UTC)

This is on an official website. We have other misspellings of names, so Wynaut?--immewnitythemew 03:02, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
Nobody's perfect though... are you implying that if they spell Brock as Brok or Brook that you'll redirect them to Brock as well? It's unreasonable... Some are very common, such as Quilfish, but Johnto when they mean Johto? Not really... ht14 03:04, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
If you want them deleted, fine. I just thought they'd be of use.--immewnitythemew 03:14, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
Already done. The misspellings just have to be within reason, that's all I'm saying. ht14 03:15, 23 April 2010 (UTC)

High resolution FireRed and LeafGreen Pokémon artwork

Hi, I'm doing a bit of fixing up on the Pokémon pages (infobox wise), and I've noticed that a lot of the FRLG art for Johto Pokémon goes really blurry when made large (about 180px). Any chance of that getting updated soon? Thanks. Takharii ~ Talk! 09:33, 28 April 2010 (UTC)

Oh, and also quite a lot of the Ruby and Sapphire artwork, is poor quality too. Takharii ~ Talk! 05:09, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

Images links

Must always be done as [[a:File:Blabla.png]]. the "a" is the most important part. It keeps them off of these wanted pages. MaverickNate 21:19, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
