The manual of style is very important. Make sure to read it. It outlines all official policies of Bulbapedia.
The word Pokémon is spelled with a capital P and an accented é. The P, of course, is accessed easily by holding Shift and pressing the P key, while the é can be accessed using Alt + 130 or Alt + 0233 on a Windows computer, and Option + e, then e again on a Mac. Otherwise, you can click it in the character palette below the editbox.
The word Poké Ball is spelled as two words. The "Poké" part is identical to the four beginning letters in "Pokémon"; "Ball" is spelled with a captial B (which is, again, accessed by holding Shift and pressing the B key). The spelling "Pokéball" arises frequently, but is incorrect.
The word "you" and all forms of it should not be used on encyclopedic pages unless it is a quote from Pokémon media. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, not a walkthrough.
On talk pages, please sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

Ok, I'm still trying to get a better microphone, too. My computer is having some problems, as I have a dual-boot with XP and ME, with an ATI Tuner card in the back and a VCR below the monitor, so there is not much room for a good quality mic. I'll try that, and thanks for listening!--Mewa.k.a.Prmatt1114:08, 29 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

So, you have GameCube, needed games and a TV Tuner? Awesome! Please, take some screenshots of the characters who have articles. I have never played Colo & XD in my life, so I'm supercurious to find out how do those characters look like. --Maxim15:30, 8 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Could you tell me exactly what needs to be fixing? I mean it looks okay. Try adding this as the first sentence. Not sure if it will work..Jmath13:23, 15 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

The front page looks great, thank you. One thing has been bugging me. Do you know how to make it so the This Week section appears on the right side of the front page instead of the left? It gets pushed down pretty far, and the right side is often empty. --Argy15:24, 1 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

The trainer cards need both English set info and Japanese set info. Please fill both of these in the future, I'll catch any screw ups, since I'm going through all 500 anyway. MaverickNate02:53, 4 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

You said "no need" here. However, it is actually very good to have a space between images and regular text, so it's easier to read in the edit box. I'm not gonna revert you, but remember this, okay? 0°23:24, 8 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
That's different. I don't make edits just to put spaces anymore, but spaces between templates and text, images and text, and templates and images make things easier to read. So don't remove them, 'kay? 0°23:29, 8 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

We're not putting the "ending stub" on DP117 because... no the anime doesn't end there. There will be a DP118, and it will appear in the wanted pages, just as every episode before it has. TTEchidna01:31, 9 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

You changed the template to give the option of switching between ribbons should the need arise. Then you change the template to accomidate for your new uploading of the classic ribbon, something that was also unnecessary. That ribbon was also the only one that has the RibbonX title, which makes your first edit to the template redundant. Please, it is fine as it is. --RexRacer-talk17:27, 16 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
here. There is one other ribbon that starts with "Ribbon". If you take the time to look, you will see that every other ribbon starts with the ribbon's name. The system here is very intertwined.--RexRacer-talk17:32, 16 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
It's nice. However, could you remove the __NOEDITSECTION__ from this talk page? It's not very convenient to have to edit the entire talk page, to add a comment in one section. Thanks, - Kogoro|Talk to me - 01:24, 27 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

They don't get uploaded new versions. Each of the Japanese names are very specific to the Japanese cards taken from the site, and we rename every card whenever we get a new version that isn't from the Japanese tcg website. MaverickNate13:54, 1 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
??? What image(s) are you referring to, and what do you mean "moved"? I did no moving of images, but I did put the image link to a different image. And images CAN be moved.--Mewa.k.a.Prmatt11 at 14:15, 22 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
You just said "we could just move it". there is no possible way to move images at all. The only way is deleting, delinking, and re-uploading as something else. MaverickNate14:17, 22 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

So why the thumb template? Seriously? LOOK A BULBASAUR[[Image:001Bulbasaur.png|thumb|right|LOOK A BULBASAUR]] works well. Heck, even if the image is somehow broken and won't link, there's that handy little window link.
What you did by making the template was essentially the same as making a template that takes one or two parameters, makes the first a link to a page and the second an optional alternate text. It does the same as one of the wiki software's built in protocols. TTEchidna23:59, 15 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
Your argument is really weak. Really. Because there is a template that you deem lazy, you have the right to recreate a laziness template the was already deleted by one of our administrators?--RexRacer00:13, 16 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
By the way, free speech has nothing to do with your template being lazy and the other templates being useful. ~ platinumsol00:25, 16 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
Matt. take a look above you. 2 admins are telling you to stop. over on Kogoro's page, thats a third admin. and here i am, a 4th admin. your template is pointless. deal with it. -- MAGNEDETH00:33, 16 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
TTE has spoken. And what TTE says is that hey guess what! Link templates are like {{p}}. Links to something used a lot with alternate text and such. wp:Pikachu. Look what that does without me making explicit changes. Links as wp:Pikachu. Pikachu prevents that and lets you use the same amount of characters. HAPPY DAY! a:File:001Bulbasaur.png makes you have to put two things in front of the filename. Insanity! 001Bulbasaur.png works better and does the same work. Heck you could say that {{bp}} is as much a laziness template as wp is. P is even a laziness template by your definition.
The dividing line between laziness and link is that laziness templates accomplish a task the wiki software itself does. {{g|training}}. When you're linking to Pokémon training anyway, why not type out Pokémon? Plus, being named G for GAME, it was kinda meant to be used for the games. Red and Blue. Gold and Silver. So on. But then we changed the naming scheme so all it's good for is Ranger and Colosseum and shit.
What you made was, like I said, essentially making a template that does something the wiki does automatically, and it takes out the ability for the user's preferences (yes that's right) to determine the default size it is without a size call. Plus, who the hell would have the filename as the caption?
And, as you did what I told you not to, I edit. Can we please get over with this? I didn't mean to make a big deal, and, by the way, this is very useful for newbies to see what can happen if people go too far with themasters.--Mew*a.k.a.Prmatt11at 01:15, 16 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
