Own Tempo (Japanese: マイペース My Pace) is an Ability introduced in Generation III. Seventeen Pokémon can have this Ability.
Effect
In battle
Own Tempo prevents confusion, even if it is self-inflicted (such as from Thrash or a Berry). If a confused Pokémon gains this Ability via Skill Swap or similar, it will be immediately cured of its confusion. Conversely, if a Pokémon with this ability is switched into battle through Baton Pass, the confusion will not be passed on.
Outside of battle
Own Tempo has no effect outside of battle.
