Squirtle (Japanese: ゼニガメ Zenigame, German: Schiggy, French: Carapuce, Korean: 꼬부기 Kkobugi) is a Water-type Pokémon, listed in the National Pokédex as #007. Along with Bulbasaur and Charmander, it is one of three starter Pokémon you can receive at the beginning of Pokémon Red, Pokémon Green, Pokémon Blue, Pokémon FireRed, and Pokémon LeafGreen.

Squirtle comes with the Ability Torrent, which increases the power of Water-type attacks by 50% once the Pokémon has less than one-third of its maximum HP.

Bulbasaur evolves via level, into Wartortle starting at Level 16, then into Blastoise starting at Level 36.
