Suction Cups (Japanese: きゅうばん Suction Cups) is an Ability introduced in Generation III. Five Pokémon can have this Ability.
Effect
This Ability prevents the opponent from forcing a switch—or in the wild, ending the battle—with Roar, Whirlwind, Dragon Tail or Circle Throw.
Outside of battle
From Pokémon Emerald onwards, if a Pokémon with Suction Cups is in first place in the player's party, bites will occur more often while fishing. Sticky Hold has the same effect.
