From a very young age Bea learned the technique of Karate from Galar with her father, since that age, she was very hardworking and with a great talent for it. At that time she met Chuck who trained with his father in the same martial art.

When she was older, Bea went on a journey through various regions in search of challenging other Fighting-type trainers like Korrina. This earned her a high reputation and a high ranking in the current World Coronation Series season.

Bea made her debut in Solitary and Menacing!. She first battled the Karate Master at the Fighting Dojo in Saffron City and won. Soon after, she was challenged to a World Coronation Series battle by Ash and had a two-on-two battle with him. She used her Hawlucha and Grapploct to battle Farfetch'd and Riolu and emerged victorious without losing a single Pokémon, causing her rank to go up.

In Octo-Gridlock at the Gym!, it's shown that Bea was training at the Cianwood City with Chuck when she received a challenge from Ash who wanted a rematch, despite remembering the previous battle, Bea did not remember Ash's name. Bea accepted his challenge, using her Hitmontop and Grapploct to battle Pikachu and Riolu. Although both sides do their best, the battle ends in a draw. Later, Chuck offers a table of sweets to Ash, Bea and Goh, during which time Ash and Bea declare their goal of winning the championship.

A silhouette of Bea along with her Grapploct was revealed at the end of Thrash of the Titans!, revealing that she had advanced to the Ultra Class of the World Coronation Series.

She made a brief appearance at the end of Ultra Exciting from the Shocking Start! while watching Ash’s World Coronation Series match against Volkner.

In An Adventure of Mega Proportions!, it is revealed that Bea managed to reach the 30th position in the World Coronation Series, and that her next opponent in the competition will be Ash.

In Battle Three With Bea!, during the preparations for their battle in the next day, Bea is visited by Ash and Goh in her Gym, Bea takes the initiative and shows all her Pokemon in hand and Ash reveals that Riolu has evolved and his other Pokémon. Soon after, they are interrupted by Korrina who is carrying a bag of Poké Puffs and reveals to be Bea's friend. After a brief get-together, Bea reveals that her goal with this battle is to test herself and find answers from her encounters with Ash.

The next day, her battle against Ash begins, with each one using three Pokémon this time. Bea starts the battle with Grapploct who faces Pikachu, and after Ash switches to Lucario, Bea uses Hawlucha and Machamp, the latter facing Lucario in an intense battle. The battle is briefly interrupted by Leon's arrival at the Gym, but Bea and Ash soon decide to retake it to define the winner of the match.

The battle between Bea and Ash continues in next episode, during the battle Bea manages to defeat Ash's Sirfetch'd using Hawlucha and Pikachu using Grapploct. Ash then uses Lucario who manages to defeat the Jujitsu Pokémon after a tough battle.

The last remaining Pokémon on each side are Lucario and Machamp, that Bea immediately uses Gigantamax to defeat her opponent. In battle, even giving its all, Machamp ends up reverting to its original form and Machamp is defeated after Lucario uses its newly learned Steel Beam move.

After being finally defeated, Bea thanks Ash and congratulates him on his victory, saying that she hopes to battle him again, finally referring to him by his actual name.

Bea re-encounters Ash during his visit to the Stow-on-Side Stadium in order to get Allister to help Gengar achieve Gigantamax form in The Winding Path to Greatness!. After a short conversation with him, Bea wishes him luck and Ash heads to the arena to train Gengar, in the next day, Bea joins Allister to follow up on the training results. Impressed by the sight, Bea remarked to Allister that it was rare for him to be helping others.

Following Ash's promotion to Master Class and the revelation of the remaining members of the most powerful members of the World Coronation Series in Aim For The Eight!, it's indicated that Bea failed to be promoted to the next stage of the competition sometime after her battle with Ash.

Prior to Toying With Your Motions!, Bea traveled to Kalos again and was seen watching Ash's match against Leon in the finals of Masters Eight Tournament alongside Korrina and Gurkinn. They were seen again, quite apprehensive when Ash managed to awaken Dracovish's full power and the battle announcer compared the battle to the abilities of a Grapploct.

In These Could be the Starts of Something Big!, Bea was shown having a battle against Hop, using Machamp to battle his Wooloo as Leon watched. The winner of the battle has not been revealed.

Bea has a strong and confident personality. While she shows proper discipline and etiquette in battle, Bea speaks frankly and directly, calling Korrina "weak" and pointing out Ash's openings as she sees them.
Extremely powerful, Bea was able to defeat other Fighting experts like Korrina and the Kanto Fighting Dojo Karate Master. Like Ash, Bea aims to win against Leon in the World Coronation Series, in order to prove herself as the strongest Trainer in the world. This secured Bea high rankings in the World Coronation Series and placed in the top thirty Trainers in the world before her battle with Ash in Battle Three With Bea!.

Bea has a strong and confident personality. While she shows proper discipline and etiquette in battle, Bea speaks frankly and directly, calling Korrina "weak" and pointing out Ash's openings as she sees them.
Despite being tough in battle, Bea has a more gentle side, like when she offered food to Pikachu and Riolu and demonstrated also in the way Bea treats Allister. Although, Allister shows a certain fear in interacting with Bea.

Like her game counterpart, Bea also has a soft spot for sweets. For this reason, as revealed later, Bea became good friends with Korrina, who introduced Bea to the sweets found in the Kalos region.

Bea has a habit of forgetting Ash's name, before knowing him only as "Riolu's Trainer" and later as "Lucario's Trainer". Despite this, Bea recognized Ash's strength and has come to respect him since their second battle.  And after the conclusion of the third battle between them in A Battle of Mega Versus Max!, Bea started calling Ash by his real name.

Appearance
In the anime, Bea's main outfit is the same as that worn by the character in the games. In The Winding Path to Greatness!, Bea is seen wearing the casual clothes shown in the Sword and Shield concept art.

As revealed by the Karate Master in Solitary and Menacing!, Bea has a large team composed of several Pokémon of the Fighting-type. This is seen, during Bea's battles with Ash, where she uses different formations in the battles they have had.

Bea engages in her battles in a physical and brutal way. Bea also battles alongside her Pokémon in complete sync, so that they both repeat the moves that are used in the battle and her idea of an ideal Pokémon Trainer is one who stands on equal footing with their Pokémon.

Despite the tough appearance and stance, Bea's Pokémon appear to have a gentle spirit, eating the sweets that Chuck put on the table for the trainers and soon after, encouraging Riolu to do the same. This is seen again in Battle Three With Bea!, when Bea's Pokémon interacted and played with some of Ash's Pokémon.
However, the rivalry between Lucario and Grapploct was quite evident during the meeting between the two.

History

Young Bea

Pre-series

From a very young age Bea learned the technique of Karate from Galar with her father, since that age, she was very hardworking and with a great talent for it. At that time she met Chuck who trained with his father in the same martial art.

When she was older, Bea went on a journey through various regions in search of challenging other Fighting-type trainers like Korrina. This earned her a high reputation and a high ranking in the current World Coronation Series season.

Pokémon Journeys: The Series

Bea and Ash

Bea made her debut in Solitary and Menacing!. She first battled the Karate Master at the Fighting Dojo in Saffron City and won. Soon after, she was challenged to a World Coronation Series battle by Ash and had a two-on-two battle with him. She used her Hawlucha and Grapploct to battle Farfetch'd and Riolu and emerged victorious without losing a single Pokémon, causing her rank to go up.

During a flashback to Bea battle against Ash in Making Battles in the Sand!, is revealed that this battle destabilized Ash’s emotional. This forces Ash to look for new alternatives so that he can battle Bea again.

Bea eventually manages to grow in the rankings until she reaches position 193, leaving her way to Ultra Class closer and closer.

Korrina and Bea

The third battle between Bea and Ash.

Korrina and Bea watching the finals of Masters Eight Tournament

Character

Bea and Allister

Bea has a strong and confident personality. While she shows proper discipline and etiquette in battle, Bea speaks frankly and directly, calling Korrina "weak" and pointing out Ash's openings as she sees them.

Extremely powerful, Bea was able to defeat other Fighting-type experts like Korrina and the Kanto Fighting Dojo Karate Master.

In The Winding Path to Greatness!, Bea is seen wearing the casual clothes shown in the Pokémon Sword and Shield concept art.

Pokémon

Bea's Pokémon party

As revealed by the Karate Master in Solitary and Menacing!, Bea has a large team composed of several Pokémon of the Fighting-type. This is seen, during Bea's battles with Ash, where she uses different formations in the battles they have had.

Bea and her Hawlucha battling

In Ultra Exciting from the Shocking Start!, Bea was revealed to possess a Dynamax Band, that Bea uses to Gigantamax in her Machamp. That according to Korrina, makes Machamp the "true ace" of Bea's team.

This listing is of Bea's known Pokémon in the anime:

Bea's Grapploct
Grapploct
Grapploct is Bea's first known Pokémon. Grapploct debuted in Solitary and Menacing!, where it was seen battling the Karate Master in the Fighting Dojo in Saffron City, where it defeated his Hitmonchan. Despite Riolu putting up a tough fight, Grapploct eventually emerged victorious, causing Ash's rank to drop.

After putting up a tough fight, the battle saw both Pokémon go down, resulting in a draw.

In Battle Three With Bea!, Grapploct is the first Pokémon used by Bea in her third battle against Ash, this time battling Pikachu. After a brief but difficult battle, Ash switches to Lucario, where this time it's Bea who calls her Pokemon back. In Toying With Your Motions!, Grapploct watched Ash's match against Leon alongside its Trainer.

Grapploct is a strong Pokémon, taking on many a tough opponent such as Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Riolu, and Pikachu, defeating them all and only drawing to Riolu during a rematch.
