Pokémon Mystery Dungeon - Rescuer's Guide is a 64-page guide book for the video games Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team. The book primarily covers early-game story details, and basic game mechanics. The front cover, back cover, and spine all use a shiny foil, and a fold-out poster of Pokémon Square is included.

The book was originally available as a pre-order bonus with Red or Blue Rescue Team.

Contents

  • A Whole New World - Describes the game's premise, early story beats, and gives an overview of all starting Pokémon options.
  • Into the Dungeon - Describes game mechanics such as dungeon exploration, items, combat, moves, IQ skills, and Recruitment.
  • Pokémon Square - Briefly discusses the town's facilities, Wonder Mail, and connectivity with friends.
  • Note pages to write down Wonder Mail codes.
  • A type matchup chart.
  • A fold-out poster of Pokémon Square.

Errors

  • Eevee's page lists its friend area as "Morphing Forest", but in the games it is instead named "Evolution Forest".
  • Torchic's page incorrectly lists its ability as Overgrow, instead of Blaze.
  • The Wonder Mail codes involving Plusle and Minun claim to unlock Plusle in Red Rescue Team and Minun in Blue Rescue Team. However, Plusle is already available in Red and Minun is already available in Blue.

Trivia

  • The first few pages of the book claim that the player character was a "young, aspiring Trainer" prior to waking up as a Pokémon. However, this is not definitively stated in the games.
