Legendary Pokémon: The Essential Guide - Sinnoh Edition is a Pokémon guide book focusing on the Legendary Pokémon of the Sinnoh region. It was written by Katherine Fang and is 32 pages in length.

Content

As its title indicates, the book encompasses the Legendary Pokémon of Sinnoh, with the exception of Arceus, as it was not yet officially revealed by Nintendo in North America at the time of publication. Specifically, there is information on the height, weight, species, type, name, and details on how to pronounce each Legendary Pokémon’s name. There is also a small quiz in the back section, with further answers to the aforementioned questions.

Azelf can be obtained in Pokémon Platinum, Diamond and Pearl in Lake Valor.

Cresselia Psychic

Cresselia can be obtained in Pokémon Platinum, Diamond, and Pearl as a roaming Pokémon following the player receiving the National Pokedex and visiting Fullmoon Island.

Darkrai Dark

Darkrai can be obtained in Pokémon Platinum, Diamond, and Pearl if the player has the Member Card and has met Cresselia and obtained the Lunar Wing to awaken Eldrich's son from Darkrai's nightmare. It can then be found on Newmoon Island, which can be accessed through the Harbor Inn.

Dialga Steel/Dragon

Dialga can be obtained in Pokémon Diamond and Platinum in Spear Pillar. It is also the cover Pokemon for Pokémon Diamond.

Giratina (Altered Forme) Ghost/Dragon

Giritina (Origin Forme) can be obtained in Pokémon Platinum in the Distortion World, and in Turnback Cave (Altered Forme). It can also be found in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl in Turnback Cave (Altered Forme).

Heatran Fire/Steel

Heatran can be obtained in Pokémon Platinum, Diamond, and Pearl in Stark Mountain after Buck has returned the Magma Stone.

Manaphy Water

Manaphy is received from Pokemon Ranger from Fiore, Almia, or Oblivia in Pokémon Diamond, Platinum, and Pearl.

Mesprit Psychic

Mesprit can be found in Pokémon Platinum, Diamond, and Pearl roaming Sinnoh after the player has received the National Pokédex and has visited Lake Verity.

Palkia Water/Dragon

Palkia can be obtained in Pokémon Platinum and Pearl at Spear Pillar. It is also the cover Pokemon for Pokémon Pearl.

Regigigas Normal

Regigigas can be obtained in Pokémon Platinum, Diamond, and Pearl in the Snowpoint Temple if the player has Regice, Regirock, Registeel in their party.

Shaymin (Land Forme) Grass

Shaymin can be obtained in Pokémon Platinum, Diamond, and Pearl at Flower Paradise if the player has Oak's Letter.

Uxie Psychic

Uxie can be obtained in Pokémon Platinum, Diamond, and Pearl in Acuity Cavern.

Shaymin (Sky Forme) Grass/Flying

Shaymin can be obtained in Pokémon Platinum, Diamond, and Pearl at Flower Paradise if the player has Oak's Letter. The Player can change Shaymin's Forme by using the Gracidea Flower.
