Plot
Major events
- Ash and his friends arrive in Laverre City and meet the Leader of the Laverre Gym, Valerie.
- Clemont meets up with Shōta again, while Ash, Serena and Bonnie meet him for the first time.
- Shōta is revealed to have obtained a Bagon.
- Ash and Shōta have a Double Battle, which Ash wins.
- Shōta has a battle against Valerie and loses.
