The Mew were distributed by trade. Because they were traded from a copy of {{game|FireRed}}, players who used {{game|Emerald}} needed the [[National Pokédex]] to trade for the Mew. Each store received a clone of the same game, so only 426 unique Mew were available for distribution.<ref>https://projectpokemon.org/home/files/file/2346-mystry-mew-firered-distribution-cart-savefiles/</ref>

===Club Nintendo Jirachi Giveaway===

This Jirachi was distributed at the {{wp|Electronic Game Show}} 2004 which took place in the World Trade Center in Mexico City from October 22 to 24. The Pokémon was distributed by the Club Nintendo magazine staff to the players that visited their booth in the expo. To participate in the promo, players had to bring their Game Boy Advance and a cartridge of Pokémon Ruby or Sapphire; then, in the booth, the magazine writers used their [[Pokémon Colosseum Bonus Disc]] and their Nintendo GameCube–Game Boy Advance cable to give them the Pokémon. Players that had FireRed or LeafGreen were not eligible for the promo because the Bonus Disc was not compatible with those versions; however, they could get the Aurora Ticket and Deoxys, which were also given away at the same event in the Pokémon booth.

This promo was hosted to give Jirachi to the players that couldn't get the Bonus Disc that year. According to the writers, 156 Jirachi were given away in the expo. [https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_n55isOURZcX1pRaFdVOC1ZVTQ/view]

Mystery Mew

Bulbanews
Bulbanews has an article related to this subject:

This Mew was distributed at Toys "R" Us stores in the United States on September 30, 2006 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm—players who were still in the line after 3 pm would not receive Mew. It was distributed to celebrate the English release of Lucario and the Mystery of Mew and the birthday of Geoffrey (the Toys "R" Us mascot).

The Mew were distributed by trade. Because they were traded from a copy of Pokémon FireRed, players who used Pokémon Emerald needed the National Pokédex to trade for the Mew. Each store received a clone of the same game, so only 426 unique Mew were available for distribution.[1]

Berry Program Update Zigzagoon

This Zigzagoon was distributed as a promotion to get people to fix a Berry glitch in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire that plagued many players. It was distributed at EB Games and GameStop stores from March 1, 2004 to April 22, 2007. It can also be received from the GameCube Interactive Multi-Game Demo Disc Versions 14 & 16. Its name will always be in English. The Zigzagoon's Original Trainer is randomly selected between the two options.

Because of the way the seed is selected (summing the real-time clock's binary-coded decimal second, minute, and hour) for the pseudo-randomly determined attributes of this Pokémon (Original Trainer, Nature, IVs, etc.), there are only 214 unique Zigzagoon.

Club Nintendo Jirachi Giveaway

This Jirachi was distributed at the Electronic Game Show 2004 which took place in the World Trade Center in Mexico City from October 22 to 24. The Pokémon was distributed by the Club Nintendo magazine staff to the players that visited their booth in the expo. To participate in the promo, players had to bring their Game Boy Advance and a cartridge of Pokémon Ruby or Sapphire; then, in the booth, the magazine writers used their Pokémon Colosseum Bonus Disc and their Nintendo GameCube–Game Boy Advance cable to give them the Pokémon.
