Generation IV
2007
Members of the official Japanese Pokémon fan club, Pokémon Daisuki Club, could enter a contest held between June 15 and July 2, with the winners recieving a postcard good for redeeming a Jirachi from a Pokémon Center retail store. Entry was done by sending a "wish" to Jirachi in the Daisuki Club's web site.

This Pokémon is also known as the Tanabata Jirachi for 2009. It was available in Japanese McDonald's restaurants, the Nintendo Zone and over Wi-Fi. This Pokémon is also the first one to be distributed via Wi-Fi.
