Weedle (Japanese: ビードル Beedle) is a Bug/Poison-type Pokémon.

Name origin
Weedle's name appears to be a misspelling of weevil, but this is not likely, considering the difference between the two. Its name is more likely a combination of worm and needle, which refers to the stingers on its body. Beedle is similar, but refers to bees instead.
