Walkthrough:Pokémon Legends: Z-A/Part 25
The longest night
You wake up the next day to tremors throughout the city starting Main Mission 36: Prism Tower’s Dark Turn. Team MZ heads up to Hotel Z’s roof, and meets up with AZ and Floette. Last night Floette appeared to be in pain, and AZ wonders if it's Ange’s work. Prism Tower is now glowing pink with Mega Energy.
Once the tower goes Rogue, AZ is worried that there will be a wave of Rogue Mega Evolutions spreading across the city. Vinnie calls and urges you to take on the tower straight away. AZ explains that if Mega Floette makes it to the center of the tower it will merge with Ange and become Ange Floette, calming the flow of energy.
Deciding the strongest Mega Evolution user
When you reach Centrico Plaza, Vinnie asks who will be entering Prism Tower. Urbain/Taunie suggests that you two should battle to decide who the strongest trainer is, and therefore who should climb to the top of the tower. Their party will be different depending on your first partner. They will have the two first partner Pokémon that you didn’t pick, and will Mega Evolve the one that your choice is weak to. Much like with your previous battles against them, you don’t need to win in order to advance the story.
Urbain/Taunie always has a level 62 Meowstic, Goodra and Avalugg, the first partner yours is strong against and Manectric at level 63, and the Mega version of the first partner yours is weak to at level 64.
Taking on Mega Floette
If you lose to Urbain/Taunie they will accept that they are the best trainer and will go forward to take Floette up the tower. However, if you defeat them, they will still convince Vinnie that they are the best one to ascend the tower, as you will need to stay behind and help Zygarde regain its power.
With the jobs decided, Urbain/Taunie gives Floette its Mega Stone and Mega Evolves it. AZ calls and thanks us for protecting Lumiose City without him, and apologizes for not being able to be there to help out. He also sends words of encouragement to Floette before it attempts to soothe Ange in the tower. The pair enter Prism Tower hand-in-hand.
Calming the ghost in Prism Tower
Urbain/Taunie and Mega Floette take a shortcut into the tower, as Floette flies them directly into the control center of the tower. They begin live streaming their attempts to calm the tower to us below and sits in the seat to start the process. Putting their hand into the device, Mega Floette floats up to the top of the tower and merges with Ange. Prism Tower is then calmed and this ends Main Mission 36.
