Walkthrough:Pokémon Legends: Arceus/Part 12
Jubilife Village
Speak to your chosen leader at the front gate, and they'll set off in front to try to speak to Commander Kamado. A child, upon hearing that you still tried to help the village after your exile, hands you a Max Revive as a thank you. Cyllene reiterates your orders - to make for the Summit Camp, and from there the Temple of Sinnoh, use the Red Chain to resolve the problems there, and, most importantly, return alive.
Coronet Highlands
Once we arrive at the Coronet Highlands at the new Summit Camp, near the entrance to the Moonview Arena, Volo arrives behind us having heard the news that you've been reinstated to the Galaxy Team, and he'll hand over three Max Potions as a congratulations. Volo will tell you that both clan leaders have already headed up to the peak, and he'll set up closer to the summit if we need to find him again.
Once Volo departs, you have the opportunity to change your party and inventory again, and once you're satisfied with your preparation ride up through Cloudcap Pass to the Stone Portal, where there's a member of the Security Corps standing guard outside. If you talk to him, he'll tell you that he doesn't really see the point any more, allowing you to enter the cave.
Inside the cave, you'll find a clearing halfway up where there's a figure waiting, staring at the far exit of the cave. It's Beni who runs the Wallflower in the village, and while he'd rather be there, Commander Kamado has given him a different task. As the commander's right hand, it's his job to ensure Kamado's plans can go through, and after a strategic Smoke Bomb he changes outfit into ninja-style garb, before challenging you to a battle!
Beni will always send out Mismagius first, but the order of subsequent Pokémon will depend on what your active Pokémon is. Three of Beni's Pokémon have a weakness to Ghost-type attacks, while the fourth, Sneasler, is doubly weak to Psychic-type moves, so if you have a strong Pokémon with those move types, like the alpha Zoroark from the lake trials or the alpha Gallade from Snowpoint Temple, you should be able to come through this fight. Don't forget that you have the ability to use items in battle if you need to heal, revive, or boost your Pokémon - Beni also has some Max Potions that he can use if you fall just short of a knockout.
After the battle, Beni shows a begrudging respect for your skills in battle, but warns you that Pokémon can be very dangerous, which is why Kamado has gone to such extremes to try and keep people safe. He asks us to save Kamado from himself, should it come to it, before allowing us to pass. Your team will be fully healed, so you can continue through the Stone Portal before exiting on the other side.
Mount Coronet
As you exit the Stone Portal you'll see the Temple of Sinnoh in front of you, with the space-time rift looming large above you. Make your way up the slope and in a clearing you'll find Volo, as promised, waiting to the right to sell his wares, with both clan leaders standing in front of you on the way to the temple. Stock up as you need, then approach Adaman and Irida.
Irida will ask if you've brought the Red Chain, before telling you that you're the only person who can stop whatever is going on. Adaman thinks the Pokémon seen through the rift is indeed almighty Sinnoh itself, but Kamado has blocked the two of them from going closer to find out. They will encourage you up the slope to confront the commander face-to-face.
Commander Kamado is waiting in front of the steps to the Temple of Sinnoh, and he has evidently heard that you have acquired the Red Chain that is supposed to bind the world, although he is still sceptical of its efficacy. Your chosen clan leader will back up the truth of your tale, but the only way we can win over the commander is to defeat him in battle.
Kamado will always lead with his Hisuian Braviary, but the order in which subsequent Pokémon are sent out will depend on your active Pokémon. The Braviary has a number of weaknesses you can prey upon, and taking it out in one hit is always a good idea, especially with Esper Wing boasting a high critical hit rate, although a Dark-type will obviously be immune to that attack and is a strong lead choice. Using the three alphas you encountered during the lake trials, if you captured them, will give you a good matchup spread here - Overqwil has the type advantage against the Braviary (with its Dark-type moves) and the Clefable (with Poison-type attacks), with Water-type moves as coverage for Golem. Zoroark is also a strong choice to take on Braviary, although it will bait out Snorlax which it struggles to hit well, while the Goodra's excellent natural bulk and typing make it difficult to remove, although be wary of High Horsepower on Snorlax.
After you best the commander in battle, he will concede defeat, bowing before you and apologizing for ever having doubts about you. Even though he says he has no right to at this point, he still asks you to tackle whatever is awaiting on the other side of the space-time rift, for the benefit of every person and Pokémon in Hisui. You'll be returned to the plateau where Volo is to restock as you need, and your Pokémon will be fully healed as well. Once you're satisfied you've taken all the necessary provisions, scale the slope again and enter the Temple of Sinnoh.
Temple of Sinnoh
Climb the steps and you'll reach the temple, a giant stone structure with a corridor leading to an altar where Kamado, Adaman, and Irida are waiting. The corridor is lined with statues on both sides, with the various noble and ride Pokémon atop them. Approach the trio, and before you can use the Red Chain your chosen leader will be possessed with a voice, asking the human with the Red Chain to catch them. The voice, presumably that of almighty Sinnoh, will speak through them again, asking to be caught for the battle to come, and Kamado will hand over ten Ultra Balls.
The space-time rift opens in front of you, and a legendary Pokémon steps through the rift - Dialga if you chose the Diamond Clan, and Palkia if you sided with the Pearl Clan. The Red Chain encircles the Pokémon, binding it into our world, but it breaks out of it, and plunges you into battle.
This battle is slightly different from the others we've had so far, in that you're required to catch the Pokémon in order to advance the plot. If you accidentally knock it out, or your party is defeated, don't worry - you'll be returned to the entrance of the temple, and given the chance to start the encounter again. Both have strong type combinations, with only two weaknesses each - Ground and Fighting for Dialga, while Palkia is weak to Dragon and Fairy types. Remember that you're not aiming for the knockout, so chip away at its health and utilize status effects like drowsiness and paralysis to increase your catch chances until you're able to successfully snag it.
- You've successfully completed Mission 17: Atop Mount Coronet!
Once Dialga/Palkia is secured, you'll be congratulated on your success, but the Pokémon will speak through your allied clan leader again, with an ominous warning: space-time is torn, and the frenzied one comes to fight. On cue, the space-time rift opens once more, and the opposite legend emerges from it with an almighty roar. Commander Kamado is in no mood to hang around, and orders everybody back to the Summit Camp.
