Links

Please use the link templates when linking to articles on Pokémon, Types, Moves, Abilities, and pretty much anything else. For example, use {{p|Charizard}} instead of [[Charizard]]. Otherwise, you may inadvertantly link to a disambiguation page. --PAK Man Talk 23:19, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

Please use link templates when linking to stuff such as Pokémon names, attacks, and the like. For example, {{p|Shuppet}} instead of just [[Shuppet]]. This is so you don't unintentionally link to a disambiguation page.

For a full crash course on link templates, look at the shortlinks. --Shiningpikablu252 02:48, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

Mystery Dungeon Gengar

I've redirected your specific articles on this Gengar to Team Meanies. For one, you were posing the Gengar as a manga-specific character when he also appeared in the matching games and the anime special as well. Additionally, we already had information about the Gengar on the Team Meanies page. Please be more careful in the future. --Shiningpikablu252 16:02, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Content

Don't remove content from talk pages... even if it is your own (it is looked down upon)!! It might come in handy sometime. MoldyOrange 03:21, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

Uploading

You have to register an account on the Archives to upload images. Tina 18:17, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

Okay, first, you need to go here and create an account. Verify it and then you can upload things from there. Tina 18:28, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
Hmm, I can see the images you uploaded, but you have to actually have it on your computer, not directly from a website. Tina 18:33, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

Aqua Hideout

Your edits to Aqua Hideout have been reverted due to true information being changed to false information. The Magma Hideout in Emerald is on the Jagged Pass, not in the spot the Aqua Hideout is located at in Sapphire and subsequently Emerald. --Shiningpikablu252 20:04, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

List of in-game trades

You merged FireRed and LeafGreen, even though they each have some differences in trades, like the gender of Nidoran, etc. Just to let you know. - unsigned comment from Clancy (talkcontribs)

Double Redirects

Please don't go changing redirects so that they redirect to a redirect. Such a page is called a double redirect. On your recent edits where you cited "fixed up link", you were actually changing a single redirect to a double redirect, a far cry from a fixed-up link. Please be more careful in the future. --Shiningpikablu252 20:33, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

Friend Areas

Hey there. over the past few days ive been trying to write all the blank articles on Friend areas, as the majority are uncomplete. I think that we should be able to do it if we work together. so far ive done Serene Sea, Stratos Lookout, Rainbow Peak, Darkness Ridge and Enclosed Island. Cadellin 11:04, 12 July 2008 (UTC)

-What the map says? what do you mean? --Cadellin 12:54, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

When you use Fly, use the magnifying glass. Go to a town, and there will be summary of the location. ht14 19:29, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
OH, right, sorry. Ok i'll do those. --Cadellin 12:38, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

TCG Card Levels

We already have the levels on the articles. If a card has a level, the level can be found in the main infobox at the upper right. Why did you try to take on a project "adding" something to the articles we already had? --Shiningpikablu252 21:58, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

Friend Area "In-Game Data"

I originally put it as In-Game data, but i went back and saw that other friend articles that you had done said In-game data- trying to be consistant for now. I'm probably gonna finish the rest of the articles in a few weeks, so a template may be a good idea soon. I can't find a pic of volcanic pit... --Cadellin 20:31, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

"In-game data" as a section heading on friend area pages should NOT be in title case ("In-Game Data"). The entire reason all occurences of "In-Game Data" was changed to "In-game data" was to take them out of the improper title case, and yet you're going around putting the improper title case back in. Please don't change "In-game data" to read "In-Game Data" again, it will just get changed back. --Shiningpikablu252 22:05, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

Sorry... ht14 14:18, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

Tutors

Yes we added the XD functionality... but erm, we were kinda waiting for them all to be finished before we added the XD tutors in.

Either way, you're welcome to add the non-FRLGE tutors on Mew... just keep this in mind until after we're finished with fixing up the move tutor lists; we don't want someone breaking them while they're being done... and I set the XD parameter to also autocategorize the article as broken... TTEchidna 01:43, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

TCG resistances

You're free to go ahead on the categories, but please refrain from adding any more -30 resistances for the time being. It's been discussed numerous times, and as I recall, we decided to leave it without the -30 on all pre-D&P sets. However, I'll start a new topic on the forums tonight to see what everybody has to say once and for all. --ニョロトノ666 01:32, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Ok then... ht14 01:32, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
Politoed666, it was decided that the resistance should be added, not the other way around. MoldyOrange 01:34, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
So...what should I do then? Continue on, or work on what I usually do? ht14 01:35, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
Add the -30. MoldyOrange 01:36, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
Ok then...I hope I didn't anger Politoed666... ht14 01:37, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Alright then. I don't recall it, though, so would you provide me with a link to the discussion in which that was decided? --ニョロトノ666 01:50, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Bulbapedia talk:Project TCG#Resistances was where a discussion was, another was in one of Shiningpikablu's archives, and a third is on User:Drapion's talk page. The reason I say that it should be there is because many people do not know that the resistance is -30. I personally did not know until this issue was brought up, and if someone so involved in the TCG didn't know, others are bound to not know either. Also, the "-30" is on the card and is considered card text, one of the points of the card pages is to have all the card text, not just some of it. The fact that the resistance number changed overtime is ever more reason to not the "-30". And lastly, my final argument is for consistancy. It is on so many cards now that it would be easier to just to add the rest them to remove them all, if they are all added, than this issue won't ever be brought up again. And, Politoed666, you seem to be the only one against it. I'm for it, Drapion and Ht14 are with it because they wouldn't have started adding it if they didn't believe -30 should be there, and Shiningpikablu doesn't care either way. I hope I convinced you, I ran out of arguements. MoldyOrange 02:07, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
The final problem though is that the weakness, though it's 2x, is not shown on the card as it was explained in the manual. What should we do then? Ht14 02:09, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Category:Pokémon cards in need of images

DO NOT add that category! It is worked into the template so that when no image is present, that category already appears. MoldyOrange 01:33, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

But it's not on there...I'm confused... ht14 01:33, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
It's worked into the template, so that no one ever has to mess with adding it and not adding it. If you look at the page on the actual viewing page, it is the second/first category. MoldyOrange 01:36, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
Ok then. We should get one for TFG as well. It will eventually get big, and we may as well get started early. ht14 01:51, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

XD/Pt tutors...

I dunno. Is there any Pokémon besides those that lack MT moves that don't learn a tutor move from at least one of those? I suppose I could... TTEchidna 02:21, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Actually, scratch that... there are plenty of Pokémon that would have Pt or XD be no for at least one move. TTEchidna 02:23, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
Do you have any examples? Just curious... ht14 21:30, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

"This article is about the Ash." I think they should be made into two different ones. The redirect, and the if you were lookning, because they are supposed to say different things. MoldyOrange 03:00, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

I guess. But then that template isn't used often though, as you previously said before. ht14 03:01, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
That would also mean I'd have to undo all my other templates, like The Phantom and Paul... ht14 03:03, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

That's cool. We should talk about it in the article though... ht14 18:34, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

Gen Redirects

while i do agree with "Altaria (Pokemon)" as a redirect, i dont exactly agree with redirecting the "Gen III moveset" pages. no one really searches for them. -- MAGNEDETH 20:57, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

Ok...some pages have it though, that's all. ht14 20:59, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

Type templates

Don't link to Fighting-type, as that's a redirect. There are three different link templates that you can use to link to types: {{t}}, {{template|t2}} and {{type}}. In this case, what you would want to do is write out {{type|Fighting}}, which would get you Fighting-type. --((Marton imos)) 03:43, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

You don't have to yell at me. It was just the most obvious thing at that moment. I know these templates. Thanks for the warning though... ht14 03:47, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

Yo.

About those gender categories... you think you could go to List of anime characters and start from the bottom? 'Cause a minute ago I clicked on one and found that you had already categorized it. BTW, your help is appreciated, but you don't have to do this. Thanks, though. It'll probably take a few days, what with all the COTDs and manga characters. --ニョロトノ666 21:21, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

Ok then. ht14 21:21, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

Templates

Template:Spe is a redirect and should not be used. Template:Special should be the one used, don't change them to the former. MoldyOrange 22:57, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

Oh...I didn't know. I just saw an article like that, that's all. ht14 22:58, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

Levelling/Leveling

Sorry about the Ancientpower mistake, but I'm pretty sure 'levelling' has two 'l's. Phocks 21:37 31 October 2008 (UTC)

Either way, it's not important. You still spelled it wrong....it's AncientPower. I forgot until just before... ht14 21:39, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
Confirmed. It's one "l". ht14 21:40, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
Strange, both me and my online spell-checker disagree. Phocks only uses his online spell-checker to catch typos.
Wait, maybe it's one of those British English/American English differences? Phocks
It onlt has one l. MaverickNate 22:27, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
En-US spelling reports "Leveling" as correct. En-UK spelling reports "Levelling" as correct. So it is one of those "errors" due to the two different versions of English. Gywall(Talk) 16:15, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
But we use En-US, right? ht14 16:17, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
I think the overall leaning is En-US. It's quite easy to use the wrong one if your native language is the other one.. but back to error-hunting for me. Gywall(Talk) 16:18, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Hey You, Pikachu!

I finally found an area I can contribute to without feeling I'd give out erroneous info... But I'm a copypasting clueless newbie, and there's a few complications with that game. I need to know a few things before I work out drafts to expand and complete that section.

  • There's three areas that share the same names in Hey You, Pikachu! and Pokémon Channel. Springleaf Field and Cobalt Coast are unique to these two games but Channel is taking them up without a (Channel) after it, and there's a Viridian Forest for Pokémon Channel at Viridian Forest (Channel). Can you do something to fix them, or tell me what to do? (As in ignore or fix or what?)
  • There's no category for Hey You Pikachu! locations, and I know there's five big locations, which is as much as Channel's, and six smaller ones I could manage getting to stub status.
  • There's also 7 important items, and a myriad of various other items, raw and transformed, and I'm pretty sure it could make its own list. What should I do there, again? Expand on the "main" items on the Hey You, Pikachu! main page, or make a complete list on a separate page? And if the later's the case, in what category would it go? There's not enough to fill up a whole page for the "key items", but it annoys me the item list is far from complete.
  • Should I include all of the Pokémon that can be met in an area, as with Channel? Excluding the fishing pond visitors and a crowing Dodrio, Pikachu can interact with them all to a point.
  • Should I mention all of the various recipes that Bulbasaur can cook in his mini-stories? Pikachu gets Pika Dollars from each of them.

Would you mind helping me out? (You're the one who welcomed me, that's why I'm asking you about it.) Neo Qwerty 11:05, 8 November 2008 (UTC)

Hmm...I'm not sure....I never played Pokémon Channel, to be quite honest. Look around, and see if other users will know. There should be a user template that says that the player has played it. If you're still confused, ask me, but only about templates and etc. ht14 13:30, 8 November 2008 (UTC)

Observation

As you showed on Double Hit, you overlook gallery sections. The Aipom image is poor if you pay attention, so look before you leap as such. Gywall(Talk) 16:17, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

No, I thought that you were talking about the move image. That template was made unclear, that's why...if it were right above the gallery, then there wouldn't have been that problem... ht14 16:18, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

I noticed on your userpage you said your username is ht14 even though these pages automatically capitalize the first word. nub

The fact that some character's name was not revealed in the episode DOES NOT MEAN THAT HE/SHE DOESN'T HAVE ONE! The name is probably hidden in Closed Captions or alternate sources like Tracey West's novelisations. And there's even an action to find them so please don't insist that those characters don't have dub names. They have, just hidden. Not to mention that there are numerous characters whose names weren't said in the episodes but were caught from Closed Captions and other sources (Faith, Hope and Charity, Melodi, Karsten, Krystal and others). So please, STFU! --Maxim 14:21, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

Bad pictures

When you put the bad picture tag on articles, put it as {{Bad picture}}, not {{Bad Picture}}. The latter is a template redirect and putting a template redirect on a page puts stress on the server, because the server thinks that the template is used twice. (resetting indent) But I was explaining why he should put {{Bad picture}} instead of {{Bad Picture}}. Chocolate (Merry Christmas!) 02:23 12/26/2008

As he stated, not a n00b...I know that... ht14 02:24, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
And also, we asked Archaic yesterday. Server stress is no longer a concern about anything. It doesn't happen anymore. But it is still a good excuse to get people to do stuff differently. ;) MaverickNate 02:40, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
Just out of curiousity...why not? ht14 02:41, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
The server is figurativly pumped on a whole bunch of steroids. MaverickNate 02:54, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
Umm...ok then... ht14 02:55, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
Does this mean crazy userspace edits, sprite sigs and siggy templates:)?--RexRacer -talk 02:56, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
If you read my edit summary, just to be on the safe side, that's all... ht14 02:57, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
@RexRacer, only if you want to die because you heralded the return of server stress ;)DCM((曲奇饼妖怪Spy on My Edits))

uhmm...

You could at least say thanks for the template. Anyway, I didn't find it. Credit for that goes to UltimateSephiroth. Jmath 20:39, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

Sorry...that works. ht14 13:26, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

Understood... sorta.

On the Mawile page. It says that Mawile is spelled right in Sapphire in the Dex entry, but not in the Trivia. It still says Sapphire has the error.--Mew a.k.a. Prmatt11 17:29, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

Interesting. Mine's fine though. MAWILE. Not MAWHILE. Maybe it's some? ht14 17:31, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
I don't know about the exact details about American versions, but I know that the incorrect spelling has appeared in at least one of the games. In my European Sapphire it is spelled correctly (maybe 'cause EU version is always the last to come out >.<) UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 17:34, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
Ok then...what about Ruby? ht14 17:35, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
Unfortunately I haven't got a copy of EU Ruby, so I can't say about it. I can check how they're spelled in the US cartridge ROMs if I have time, though one should not 100% trust ROMs either. UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 17:42, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
Very true. ht14 17:42, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
