Hop's Dubwool (Japanese: ホップのバイウールー Hop's Baiwooluu) is a Pokémon owned by Hop in the games and anime.

In the anime

In Pokémon: Twilight Wings

As a Wooloo.

Wooloo debuted in Letter, where it was seen playing with its Trainer. Wooloo reappeared in Training, where it was seen watching TV with its Trainer.

It then appeared prominently in Buddy, where it became jealous of Hop's admiration of Leon's Charizard and ran away from home. It eventually jumped off a cliff to try and fly like Charizard, only to fail. Wooloo was subsequently found by Milo, who sent Wooloo home on the Flying Taxi. It reunited with Hop, who promised it that they will both challenge the Pokémon League together, and assured that it was perfect the way it was.

It reappeared in The Gathering of Stars, after having evolved into a Dubwool. It was seen helping its Trainer with his studies.

Personality and Characteristics

Initially still as Wooloo, Dubwool was quite jealous about what Hop thought of him. When he walked away from his trainer, it was enraged by anything that reminded him of Leon's Charizard. When it realizes how much Hop cared for him, they both finally reconcile.

Victor & Gloria Rubber Playmat Set

The Victor & Gloria Rubber Playmat Set (Japanese: ラバープレイマットセット マサル&ユウリ Rubber Playmat Set: Masaru & Yuuri) was released on December 3, 2021 alongside the VMAX Climax subset. Its sale was limited to Pokémon Centers, the Pokémon Center Online, and stores that were eligible to hold Pokémon Card Gym meetings. The set came packaged with two packs of 64 card sleeves, a deck case, and a single-player playmat (the box itself could also be used to store cards and accessories). The illustration used on the items was drawn by Zounose and feature Victor and Gloria at a camp site. Victor has reeled in a Magikarp as Grookey, Sobble, and Scorbunny watch on, while Gloria trains with a Kubfu. Hop can be seen above the site in a Flying Taxi.
