The Rotom Catalog allows the player to change the form of a Rotom.

In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Rotom must have been in a form in Rotom's Room at least once to unlock that form in the Rotom Catalog. In Pokémon Sword and Shield, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, and Pokémon Legends: Z-A, all forms are already unlocked upon receiving the item.
