Content
The first section, "Entry Pokémon Guide," displays each Pokémon within the game along with their types, Abilities, four recommended moves, and the circumstances in which they can be used by opponents. Legendary Pokémon are listed first, followed by groups of Pokémon by type. The last group is "Distribution Pokémon," which includes Mew, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Jirachi, each Forme of Deoxys, Phione, and Manaphy.
The "Welcome to Pokétopia" section explains the game modes, Battle Passes, avatar customization, and basic battle strategies.
The "Colosseum Strategy" section reviews each Colosseum within the game, covering their rules and each opponent faced. Although every move and item is listed for the Colosseum Leaders' Pokémon, items are not listed for other Trainers' Pokémon, and not all moves are listed. The Rental Passes are also detailed following the section on Gateway Colosseum.
The "Pokétopia Post-Game" section covers content that becomes available after the player has defeated Mysterial for the first time. These include the new battle modes available at Colosseums, including lists of each opponents' Pokémon in Masters Battle. Additionally, galleries and unlock criteria are listed for Battle Pass designs, gear, and Trainer Titles.
The "Training Techniques" section explains various battle mechanics, including types, STAB, Abilities, move categories, held items, and effort values, as well as suggestions for possible combos.
The final section, "Charts and Info," lists battle data for every move, every Pokémon able to learn notable moves and their methods for learning them, every Ability and each Pokémon able to have them, each held item and how it's obtained in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, a type chart, and type compatibility for every Pokémon present in the game.
Trivia
Errors
- On page 147, Mysterial's name is erroneously spelled "Mysterio," his name in Japanese, in a paragraph describing his battle strategy.
