A variety of responses can occur when interacting with walking Pokémon in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver. The Pokémon's reaction can vary depending on many factors, including their current HP, level of friendship, mood, status condition, Nature, held item, and performance. Some interactions will only trigger at certain locations (including nearby objects such as rocks and trees), with certain types, gender, or species of Pokémon, and can also vary depending on the weather and time of day.
For example, some interactions may only occur with tough appearing Pokémon (such as Machamp or Rhydon), or with less expressive Pokémon (such as Magnemite or Beldum). Calls from the player's friend (either Ethan or Lyra) using the Pokégear can provide clues to locations of special interactions.Your Pokémon seems happy to be all wet!
