Stufful (Japanese: ヌイコグマ Nuikoguma) is a recurring Pokémon character in the anime. Stufful is the baby of Bewear, Team Rocket's caretaker in Alola. It first appeared in A Dream Encounter! in a video showcasing Professor Burnet at her job at the Aether Paradise.
History
Sometime prior to A Dream Encounter!, Wicke from the Aether Foundation found Stufful trapped under a fallen tree. After freeing Stufful, Wicke took it to Aether Paradise to recover.
Stufful first appeared in A Dream Encounter!, in a video on Professor Kukui's television. It was one of the Pokémon included in a presentation on Professor Burnet as the fifteenth recipient of the "Alola Woman on the Year" award and her workplace, the Aether Paradise. It appeared again when Ash and his classmates visited the Aether Paradise in Deceiving Appearances!.
During a plot by Team Rocket to steal the Pokémon who live at Aether Paradise in SM096, Stufful met and became attached to Jessie. When Bewear came to pick up Team Rocket, Bewear recognized Stufful as being its child and took them all back to its den, allowing Stufful to spin a helicopter blade to allow them to fly.
Personality and characteristics
Stufful was shown to be a carefree Pokémon, constantly walking throughout the conservation area of Aether Paradise. It is also a very affectionate Pokémon, as shown in SM096, where it grew attached to Jessie by grabbing on to the back of her hair.
