Trick (Japanese: トリック Trick) is a non-damaging Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation III.
Effect
The user switches held items with the target. Fails if neither has a held item, if either Pokémon is holding Griseous Orb or Mail, if the target has a Substitute, or if either Pokémon has Sticky Hold. It also fails if either Pokémon has Multitype and is holding a plate.
Generation V
Trick will succeed if a Pokémon holding a Griseous Orb switches it with another Pokémon as long as it is not Giratina, on whom it will still fail.
