Pokémon Diamond & Pearl: Sinnoh League Victors is the thirteenth season of the Pokémon anime, immediately following the conclusion of the twelfth season. As such it is the fourth season of the Diamond & Pearl series, following Ash as he continues gathering badges in Sinnoh and Dawn as she continues gathering ribbons. Due to the previous announcement that the Diamond and Pearl series is ending in Japan in the fall of 2010, this will be the final dub season of the Diamond and Pearl Series.
It will begin on May 22, 2010 with the dub premiere Regaining the Home Advantage!.
It is preceded by Pokémon Diamond & Pearl: Galactic Battles. It should be noted that the concept of seasons does not exist in Japan, where episodes of Pokémon air nearly every Thursday. An invention of the American broadcast industry, a season is typically aired new for nine months out of the year, with three months (usually during the summer) taken off to begin production for the next season, during which reruns air. In Japan, no differentiation is made between this and any other seasons in the Diamond & Pearl series. As with the previous year. - Jessie participates in the Katakuri Town Contest and loses to Princess Salvia but is given the ribbon by the latter, thereby completing her requirement for the Grand Festival. (DP171)
- Ash and his friends arrive at Valor Lakefront for the Grand Festival.
