The '''Power Belt''' can only be bought in the battle tower in [[Snnoh]] for 16BPs each.
 
Upon giving it to a pokemon it will raise that pokemon's [[Defence]] [[Effort Values]] by four, whilst lowering that pokemon's speed in battle.

The Power Belt (Japanese: パワーベルト Power Belt) is a type of held item introduced in Generation IV. It is a Power item that gives Defense effort values to the holder whenever it gains experience.

In battle

Generation IV-VI

A Pokémon holding this item gains 4 Defense EVs whenever it gains experience in battle (EVs are awarded for each Pokémon knocked out in Horde Battles despite experience being gained all at once); its effect is doubled by Pokérus. (In Generation IV, level 100 Pokémon cannot gain EVs in battle; from Generation V onward, they gain EVs whenever they would earn experience.)

The Speed stat of the Pokémon holding this item is halved in battle.
