Overcoat (Japanese: ぼうじん Dust Proof) is an Ability introduced in Generation V. Seventeen Pokémon can have this Ability.
Effect
In battle
Generation V
In battle, a Pokémon with Overcoat does not take damage from the weather conditions sandstorm and hailstorm.
Generation VI
Overcoat now protects from powder-based moves.
Outside of battle
Overcoat has no effect outside of battle.

Trivia
- Four of the Pokémon able to have this Ability are already immune to one of the damage-dealing weather conditions by virtue of their type (five if Wormadam's Sandy and Trash Cloaks are counted as separate Pokémon).
