The movie ギラティナと氷空の花束 シェイミ Giratina and the Sky's Bouquet: Shaymin will be released to theaters in Japan on July 19, 2008.

A teaser after the end of Dialga VS Palkia VS Darkrai shows Regigigas's hand rising from a large flowery field. A second form of Giratina will debut as well. This form, called the "Origine Forme", is said to allow Giratina to cross between dimensions.

In addition to Giratina and Regigigas, Dialga and Palkia, two from the previous movie, will be involved. This was revealed in a preview during the first airing of DP058 saying that the fight among the Pokémon gods has not ended, implying a direct connection with the previous film which was later confirmed.

Quite recently revealed on an issue of the CoroCoro Comic and on the official website, Shaymin was confirmed to co-star in the film; however, not much info has been given regarding Shaymin's role.

Summary

The reverse world, where Giratina lives, is a beautiful and rule-breaking mirror of the Pokémon world. However, due to the battle between Dialga and Palkia during The Rise of Darkrai, time and space were distorted, and black, poisonous clouds appeared and overlaid the reverse world. Giratina becomes enraged and lures Dialga into its world.

Shaymin appears before Ash and his friends and guides them to the Flower Garden of Glacidia. It is capable of telepathy, and it has a habitual behavior called "flower carrying" (Japanese: 花はこび).

The movie's villain is Zero, who owns a Magnezone and many Magnemite and has a robotic maid named Infi that controls a ship called Megaliba. He wishes to use the power of Giratina to rule the world.

Another character, Mugen, has a Shieldon and is a talented scholar specializing in study of the reverse world who has wound himself into the plot.

Palkia has been revealed to be part of the plot though its exact role is still unknown.

Trivia

  • The staff went to three locations in Norway to form a basis for the movie's setting - Sognefjord (the second largest Fjord in the world), Jostedalsbreen (the largest glacier in Europe), and Bergen (the second largest city in Norway). This can be seen at the official website which shows a mountainous icy world with mountains on the ground and in the sky.
  • This will be the second time when a legendary Pokémon from a previous movie reappears. The only other time was in Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, where Mew made a second appearance after Mewtwo Strikes Back. It was, however, a different Mew, whereas the Dialga and Palkia in this movie are the same ones that battled over Alamos Town.
  • This is also the first Pokémon movie where a legendary Pokémon reappears immediately after the previous film. In other words, this is the first Pokémon film to feature a legendary Pokémon twice in a row.
  • This movie features the most legendary Pokémon of all, with five confirmed.
  • The ending theme song for the movie is ONE by Crystal Kay.
  • A recent trailer which first appeared after the DP071 and DP072 special implies that Ash's Gligar may evolve as there is a Gliscor with Ash's Pokémon and no sign of Gligar.
  • The trailer also implies that either Brock or Dawn will capture a Swinub; many infer that it will be Dawn's due to its "cute" appearance and being a mammal, while others infer that Brock could get it due to it being a Template:Type2 (despite Brock's original preference being the closely-related Template:Type2).
  • It has been hinted in merchandise advertisements that either one or two Generation V Pokémon will be introduced in this movie, similar to how Munchlax was introduced pre-Generation IV in Destiny Deoxys. It remains to be seen whether this foreshadowing has been interpreted correctly.
