The infinite continues glitch is a glitch that can be performed in Pokémon Stadium 2 with any Stadium Cup. It does not work in the original Pokémon Stadium.

Method

  1. First get into any battle (it doesn't matter at this point what you choose), win the match, and suspend your game.
  2. Now choose any Stadium Cup. Because the Gym Leader Castle doesn't have continues, this glitch will not work in Gym Leader Castle.
  3. Make sure to get at least one continue. This is easiest to do in the first battle.
  4. If you lose afterwards, first choose "Suspend."
  5. A warning message will appear telling you that you already have a suspended game (this is why you need to have a suspended game ahead of time). On this screen, choose "Continue without Suspending."
  6. You will have a rematch against the trainer you just lost, which is normal, except you won't lose a continue. Therefore, if you keep doing this, you will never run out of continues.

Note: Because you need a suspended game to perform this glitch, you need to go through all eight battles all in one sitting, without suspending play.

  • This glitch does not work in Pokémon Stadium, because when selecting "Continue without Suspending," you will be simply taken back to the screen where you are given the options to continue, save & quit, or quit the cup altogether, instead of repeating the battle you just lost.
