The seven days of the week are as important in the Pokémon world as they are in reality. Like the real world, certain events will only happen on select days, and certain characters will only appear some days. All Generation II, Generation IV, and Generation V handheld games feature this, and it is expected to continue being part of the series as it moves forward.
