Eterna Galactic Headquarters

Galactic Eterna Building 1F
Galactic Eterna Building 2F

First Floor

Once inside you will meet with Looker. Talk to him then go up the sets of stairs. First, go up the right staircase. If you go up the wrong staircases, you will be at a dead end and will either have to battle some Trainers or find some items that can only be found there. Also here on the 1F is a room that Rotom can use to access it's alternate forms but it requires the Secret Key, which can only be collected through a Mystery Gift from a Nintendo Event and is the only way to access these forms in Platinum (Though these forms can be accessed without a special event in HeartGold and SoulSilver).

Second floor

Once you are upstairs, you will go to the set of stairs to the right of the staircase you just walked up. The left staircase is the one that will lead to the right path.

Third floor

Galactic Eterna Building 3F

Once upstairs again, if you use the left staircase that heads to the 4F you'll find a dead end but you can also collect a Blue Shard and Revive. The right staircase will be the right path.

Fourth Floor

Galactic Eterna Building 4F

Go up the right staircases and you will be able to battle Commander Jupiter. She has the following Pokémon.

The real danger is her Skuntank and unless your team is around Level 20 it will be tough to defeat. At this point in the game the only thing that could do super-effective damage to it is Geodude's Magnitude. A very good well-balanced team with nothing that is weak against Dark or Poison-type will work against it. Once she is defeated, Jupiter will retreat since Commander Mars got enough energy from the Valley Windworks to where they no longer need this base. You will then rescue the owner of Rad Rickshaw's Bike Shop. He will tell you to meet him at his shop, then will walk away. Don't forget to pick up the Upgrade as it is needed to evolve Porygon into Porygon2 through trading.

A colored background means that the Pokémon can be found in this location in the specified game. A white background with a colored letter means that the Pokémon cannot be found here.

Before heading to the shop first head to the Pokémon Center and make sure that your party has at least one free space. Just before arriving at the Bike Shop you'll encounter Cynthia who will give you a Pokémon egg that will hatch into a Togepi. When you meet Rad Richshaw at his shop, he will give you a bicycle. Now, you may go on to Route 206, which is the bike path. To access this route, go to the bottom end of Eterna City, and go through the entrance.

Route 206

Route 206

Route 206 is made of two parts; a Cycle Road and a grassy area underneath. You will need to take the Cycle Road to get through Route 206, however you'll need the Bicycle you can get at Eterna City to be able to travel the Cycle Road. If you do not have the bike you will be refused entry. As long as you have the Bicycle you are free to ride the Cycle Road and battle the Trainers.

Once at the bottom you can go to the grassy area underneath the Cycle Road by using Cut on the bushes to the right. A Trainer has wandered down here, and there are a few items for you to pick up as well as the Wayward Cave. If you want you can travel to Route 207 first to pick up some important items to help raise your team before going through Wayward Cave, but one thing you'll need is a copy of TM70 (Flash) which is found at the BF1 of the Oreburgh Gate so make sure to have gotten it there since Wayward Cave is mainly a dark place that needs Flash to be able to light it up.

Wayward Cave Main Area

Wayward Cave Main Area (note: Picture reflects DP version where there are movable stones that are not present in Platinum)

To enter the main are of Wayward Cave follow the path to the right of Cycling Road of Route 206. Besides having Cut to be able to access the area of Route 206 where both of Wayward Cave's entrances are as well as Flash for the main area, you'll also need to have a Pokémon that knows how to use Rock Smash to help trek through the cave. All trainers in this cave are positioned to where you could face them in Double Battles. Also there is a girl named Mira in the cave that will serve as your tag battle partner. If you wish you can go find Mira first before facing the trainer battles to make it easier since like all tag battle partners she'll heal your team completely after each battle.

To get to Mira after lighting up the cavern, smash the first three rocks and travel north that will get you to the top of the cave. Next travel east and south in that direction until you reach the bottom around the southeast side of the cave as seen on the map. Then go north, east, and finally north to the northeastern side of the cave which is where Mira is and as long as you take the right path you can avoid any trainers if you wish to.

Afterwards as long as you can avoid the entrance you are able to use Mira as your partner for whatever battles you wish to do. Also if you want, if you have taught Thief (which was found in Eterna City right beside the Eterna Galactic Headquarters) to one of your Pokémon you can use it to on Bronzor since they have a 5% chance of holding a Metal Coat which not only strengthens Steel-type moves, but it can also evolve Scyther into Scizor or Onix into Steelix. There is a chance you could face two Bronzor into battle which can make it easier for this procedure for as long as you can have Mira as a partner.

Wayward Cave Hidden Area

Wayward Cave Hidden Area

To locate the hidden entrance travel carefully under Cycling Road and eventually you find a hidden area that will take you to the hidden entrance. Unlike Diamond and Pearl you do not need Strength here to access the basement which is part of the Hidden area due to the lack of movable boulders. You won't need Flash here either. Notably this is the only place in the game to find a Gible which becomes a powerful Dragon and Ground-type Pokémon once it evolves into Garchomp, it's final form. You can also find TM26 (Earthquake) here by traveling all the way through the path and going up the stairs to another hidden area on the 1F of Wayward Cave. Here you will need you need your bike for traveling through. For jumping the ramps, while 4th gear your faster gear allows you to jump farther, in two areas you will need to shift it to 3rd gear your slower speed for the kinds of jumps that require less distance, particularly during the final jumps of both the lower and upper areas of the caves.
