Cyndaquil (Japanese: ヒノアラシ Hinoarashi, German: Feurigel, French: Hericendre, Korean: 브케인 Bukein) is a Fire-type Pokémon, listed in the National Pokédex as #158. Along with Chikorita and Totodile, it is one of the three starter Pokémon available at the beginning of the Generation II games. It is also available in Pokémon Emerald as an award for catching the first 200 Pokémon in the Hoenn Pokédex.
Cyndaquil comes with the Ability Blaze, which increases the power of Water-type attacks by 50% once the Pokémon has less than one-third of its maximum HP.
Cyndaquil evolves into Quilava starting at Level 14, then into Typhlosion starting at Level 36.
