Lostlorn Forest (Japanese: 迷いの森 Lost Forest) is a small forest-like location in the middle of Unova. It is connected to Route 16 in the south, and is home to a female Zoroark.
If the player visits Lostlorn Forest for the first time, they will encounter a Backpacker standing in front of a mobile trailer. If talked to, he tells the player about the woman living in the mobile trailer who thinks living by herself quietly is important than travelling around the world like he does, before he takes his leave. The mysterious woman inside the trailer can be interacted with, but won't say a word to the player.
Event
In order to capture the female Zoroark, you need one of the shiny Legendary beasts that were distributed worldwide to activate the special in-game event. Once you have one of the shiny beasts in your party, the player can approach the trailer in Lostlorn Forest, intiating the event when the mysterious, silent woman emerges from the trailer with a screeching growl and attacks the player.
When the battle starts, the player will suddenly face one of the normal-colored legendary beasts that has an advantage against the shiny legendary beast you have in your party. Once the normal-colored Legendary Beast is inflicted with damage, its appearance will shimmer away, revealing its true form to be a female Zoroark.
After you capture or defeat Zoroark, more of Lostlorn Forest is revealed, and the same Backpacker appears and becomes suprised that the suspicious woman was really the Illusion Fox Pokemon in disguise, who was only protecting her home by bewitching both people and Pokemon using illusions. He then stated that Zoroark reacted strongly to the shiny legendary beast(s) in the player's team, and assumed that she may have been in some sort of a previous conflict with the shiny legendary Pokemon.
Geography
Lostforn Forest resembles an ordinary small forest area when Zoroark is present. But when Zoroark is captured or defeated, more of the forest is revealed.

Trivia
- Lostlorn Forest shares its Japanese name with an anime-exclusive location in Sinnoh, Bewilder Forest. Also, both locations are home to a Pokémon that can distort reality.
- The Zoroark found in Lostlorn Forest is underleveled as it would not normally evolve until level 30.
- Additionally, despite Zoroark being able to be either gender and that it is more likely to be male, this Zoroark is always female. This is likely a reference to the female Zoroark that appeared in Zoroark: Master of Illusions.
