Where do we get a presumption that he's in Kanto? I have a different theory on his current whereabouts... TTEchidnaFire echyGSDS! 22:09, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

Given how long ago the original Japanese airing of The Legend of Thunder was, it's kind of hard to keep track of anyone in that special outside Marina. For all we know:
Besides, there's no guarantee we'll even see any of the characters from the special again. Even the Marina merchandise from DP062 could have been her final appearance...--Shiningpikablu252 22:37, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
Well, we know one thing for sure: Jimmy wasn't in Hoenn when Ash was, and was in Johto when Ash was in Kanto. Marina has to be in Sinnoh at the current time, to pose for the Pokétch thing. Vincent is a year behind Jimmy and Marina, the question is why?. Did he go to Kanto first? Couldn't have; he'd have seen Ash then. Hoenn? Maybe. Sinnoh? Also maybe. Paul went to Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn while Ash was there, but never contemporaneously, so he could go in order Hoenn, Kanto, Johto, or Johto, Hoenn, Kanto.
I think it would be interesting to have Ash meet up with another character based off of a game character who's going on the badge quest. Gary served that purpose in Kanto and sorta in Johto, but he really sucked at it. Hoenn had NO ONE. Sinnoh's got Paul, but why not throw Jimmy in just because. After all, he might be there, we never see the audience in Marina's contest, so...
Plus, Jimmy's the only main protagonist from LOT that hasn't been in the main anime yet. Even Eusine got in before him. TTEchidnaFire echyGSDS! 01:07, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
I don't recall Eusine being in The Legend of Thunder. As far as we know, For Ho-Oh the Bells Toll is Eusine's only anime appearance. --Shiningpikablu252 01:12, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
Eugine is Eusine. 4Kids screwed up. TTEchidnaFire echyGSDS! 02:08, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Game!Jimmy

Uhm. Is there an actual SOURCE for "Jimmy" and "Vincent" being from the games? I mean, the game characters are completely random NPCs. The animne characters are fairly important. I need an actual document stating this claim as a fact from Nintendo or 4Kids or whatever before I can begin to believe it. :/--Biccy 20:05, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

Good luck trying to get that. The fact that GSC features a "Kenta" that was localised as "Jimmy" and a "Junichi" that was localised as "Vincent" is noticeable enough to get a mention on this page. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 20:11, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
You think it's coincidential? No, it isn't! Because it also applies to other characters from Chronicles. Simply, if the Japanese names of characters were matching a game trainer name, they used an English name of that trainer as the dub name of the character. Isn't it simple? This applies to at least 5 different characters from Chronicles. A coincidence? No! Want to check it? Find on the net the Japanese list of GS Trainers and an English one. If you don't find them, I can give you links. --Maxim 20:15, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

Zoroark movie

Blogs form people who saw the pre-release airing are saying Jimmy appears in the opening credits, battling Ash. Assuming we should wait for the normal release to add this info, should the page be locked so it isn't added early? Reign 16:16, 6 July 2010 (UTC)

Yoshi

Yoshi redirects here. For the character from the Super Smash Bros. series, see Yoshi.

Why is this here? Who's going to look for a character from mario on Bulbapedia? --Billt506 11:08, 24 July 2010 (UTC)

Yoshi is Jimmy's Japanese name I believe and Pokemon are related to the Super Smash Bros. as they do make an appearance on the game series so its only fair to have some info on the other characters able to be used there.--Cerulean 15 02:19, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

His Japanese name is Kenta, not Yoshi. So why is that there exactly? 21:02, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
