Welcome to Bulbapedia, TheOriginalOne!
Bulbapedia bulb.png

By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Changes button... Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Thanks! --Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 01:31, 21 January 2012 (UTC)

GB Sounds glitch

Hi there. I noticed that you added the GB Sounds glitch to the List of glitches in Generation IV page. I replied to your thread on the forums. I am happy to discuss it on Bulbapedia too, if you would prefer. However, please do not re-add it until we can work out why I couldn't repeat it by following your instructions. --SnorlaxMonster 10:38, 22 February 2012 (UTC)

You must have got something wrong: I tried it again and again, and it kept happening. Here's a proof: the same thread in a forum in which it has been more successful, full of positive comments: http://serebiiforums.com/showthread.php?t=562438 Oh yeah, I can try to publish a video if you really can't obtain the same results. TheOriginalOne 21:29, 22 February 2012 (UTC)

I managed to get it to happen once. However, I'm having a lot of trouble doing it again. There must be another factor affecting the glitch. --SnorlaxMonster 09:10, 27 February 2012 (UTC)

Maybe you turned on while on Cinnabar and off while on Route 20, instead of the opposite. I say this because all the times I got it wrong were because of that mistake. I learned that it shouldn't be like that, and then exploiting this glitch became easier than finding a wild Pidgey. Just pay attention to what you do, trying to be sure that it follows my forum instructions. TheOriginalOne 21:57, 3 March 2012 (UTC)

Nope, I've been making sure of that. I've managed to replicate it several times since that post (and today I managed to do it on the first try, but only the first try). I'm trying to figure out what this other factor is: the position from where you cross between the two locations, how many tiles you move before stopping, exactly which part of the tune you need to turn it off at, if Repel affects it (which as far as my research indicates, it doesn't). It can certainly go on the page, because it is repeatable, but there is something that stops it from happening every time that I want to know what it is. --SnorlaxMonster 09:55, 5 March 2012 (UTC)

AH! I think I know what are you talking about! I haven't verified it yet, but I think it was because everytime I tried to do that was while adjacent to the southeastern coast. I am not sure if this is the problem, because, as I said, I haven't verefied it yet... But you can do that for me. If not, then... TheOriginalOne 20:54, 5 March 2012 (UTC)

[Edit] NO,NO,NO, forget that last part! It has nothing to do with it! NOW I REALLY KNOW WHAT'S MAKING YOU FAIL SOMETIMES! The factor behind this all is finding a wild pokémon in Route 20! If you find a wild pokémon in Route 20, this glitch won't result until you get out of there (either by landing or by flying) and then return. What I think right now is that you found a wild pokémon at those times you were unable to repeat it. That must be it! Please reply fast! TheOriginalOne 17:25, 10 March 2012 (UTC)

Adjacent to the coast did nothing. I also constantly fail even with Repel on. However, I noticed something interesting: I succeeded right after using a Repel (with GB Sounds on while I used it) then crossing to Cinnabar, then right after taking Baoba's call, then right after using the Black Flute (this was me trying to do it this way). Those were the only times I managed to get it to work today. I also tried the White Flute, but I didn't get it to work. Do you use the GB Sounds registered or from the bag? --SnorlaxMonster 13:22, 13 March 2012 (UTC)

I just use it from the bag. What? Is that the Mystery factor? TheOriginalOne 16:24, 25 March 2012 (UTC)

...I think it is. I just successfully did it several times in a row (I've never done more than one without a big bunch of failures in between). So it seems it works after closing the bag or something, because IIRC those are the only times it's worked when I was using it registered. So glad we finally figured this out. I've found it also works in reverse (Cinnabar to Route 20 rather than Route 20 to Cinnabar). I don't believe this is exclusive to this location, so I'll keep trying to see if there are more places that this works. --SnorlaxMonster 10:45, 30 March 2012 (UTC)

NO, I've already done that, and I have only managed to do so in that location. Case closed, right? TheOriginalOne 16:29, 30 March 2012 (UTC)

Yep, case closed. You need to use it from the bag (there seems to be some way to trigger it while selected if you use another item, but I'm not entirely sure how that works, so let's just leave it as GB Sounds must be used from the bag). --SnorlaxMonster 04:52, 31 March 2012 (UTC)

My today template

You can just transclude mine into your userspace - it would be much easier. If you're interested in adding to it, see User:The dark lord trombonator/TodayInHistory; it's something we hope to eventually put in use that trom based on my template. --SnorlaxMonster 12:20, 10 June 2012 (UTC)

Also, I may have been a bit vague on my talk page, but please don't just copy/paste my archive template; it took a fair amount of work, and I would rather that other people make their own or use someone else's who doesn't mind. Also, you left links to my archives in there. --SnorlaxMonster 12:24, 10 June 2012 (UTC)
And there is really no need to copy my hexadecimal converter template; if you want to use it, I suggest you transclude mine. Also, you have already made 4 edits to your userspace today, while the maximum allowed number is 3 per day, as per the userspace policy. --SnorlaxMonster 12:26, 10 June 2012 (UTC)

How can I make the "random pokémon" part in a way that it will have to do with my edits, and not yours? (that's why I wrote the "TheOriginalOne/hex" : because the "/hex" is referred in the code) TheOriginalOne 12:37, 10 June 2012 (UTC)

Just replace "/hex" with "User:SnorlaxMonster/hex". "/hex" is just a shortcut I use because I can. --SnorlaxMonster 12:39, 10 June 2012 (UTC)

Talk Page Comments

Removing talk page comments, including the initial welcome template, is prohibited per Bulbapedia's talk page policy. Please do not remove any comments in the future. If you wish to clean old comments away, you should archive your talk page instead. Thank you! --SnorlaxMonster 12:39, 10 June 2012 (UTC)

Hold on!

If you did not read your last warning, then please read it now. You have edited the User: namespace too much. In the past, no one was allowed to edit their userpages because some users were over-editing their own userpages. Your personal editing privileges can be taken away, so please do not edit your page any more for now. Instead, how about helping contribute to some of Bulbapedia's many articles? Thank you. --SnorlaxMonster 12:41, 10 June 2012 (UTC)

Although you haven't made more than three userspace edits a day, you must also make more mainspace edits than userpage edits every day. If you don't obey that rule, you will lose your userspace editing rights.--Den Zen 13:32, 20 June 2012 (UTC)

I'm writing this message just to inform you that the majority of my edits (total) is mainspace. I'm still going to try to edit more of it, but this is just for you to keep in mind that I make many contributes to Bulbapedia. TheOriginalOne (talk) 20:07, 20 June 2012 (UTC)

User templates

As per the Userspace policy, you're not permitted to take templates made specifically by another user for use on their page without permission. These templates have sense been removed from your page. Please ask before you use someone else's template. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 19:10, 10 June 2012 (UTC)

I've already asked for it, and he authorized me. TheOriginalOne (talk) 19:34, 12 June 2012 (UTC)
He permitted you to use the header, and the header alone. And he did not permit you to copy it 100%. You should make it unique to you. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 19:42, 12 June 2012 (UTC)

Well, I tought you weren't going to read this message, so I posted in your talk the complete info: I didn't finish the editing. Now that I was going to make it more unique... TheOriginalOne (talk) 19:44, 12 June 2012 (UTC)

For future reference, it's better to copy it and modfiy it in the same edit, rather than simply copying it in one and changing it in another. --SnorlaxMonster 16:55, 16 June 2012 (UTC)

Template:AvailabilityGlitch

I appreciate that you were trying to add B2W2, but do not undo any of my template edits that are removing align coding. The align coding is broken and may stop working at any time. It is also used redundantly in many places, which I am removing rather than replacing - which is why there is often a dramatic size decrease associated with my edits. Werdnae (talk) 21:24, 21 July 2012 (UTC)

Templates

Templates should be created in the userspace and be approved by the staff before being moved into the template space. One of the reasons for that rule is so templates can be tested for bugs and such. Please follow the proper steps in the future. Thank you. --Pokemaster97 19:38, 3 August 2012 (UTC)

Furthermore, we already have a template for Unown writing, {{uwr}}.--Den Zen 19:43, 3 August 2012 (UTC)

So, here I go with a suggestion: could you please make non-capital letters also valid on that template, like what I did on mine (you know, for the people using it not to have always to click on Caps Lock or Shift)? TheOriginalOne 19:49, 3 August 2012 (UTC)

Mystery Dungeon map.

Seems to miss at least Tiny Woods and Thunderwave Cave. There is no dot on that image in the place where they should be. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 19:43, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
PS. Checked Bulbapedia and it seems I am missing only 9 dungeons. Well I will add what I have (aside from the two mentioned above as there is no dot for them on map). Marked +-+-+ (talk) 19:55, 21 August 2012 (UTC)

...there is no dot for Meteor Cave, either. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 20:03, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
So I could finish the MD map... I am missing 4 dungeons it seems, and 3 dots are missing, more precisely for the three I mentioned above. I'll unlock them with debug mode, so only 3 dungeons left now. There is a total of 45 but 2 are temporary and can be accessed only at one point of the game (ie. fugitives). A total of 43 dots should be on map (now 40).Marked +-+-+ (talk) 20:38, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
OMG, you and SnorlaxMonster are the best! I tought that past just 2 days nothing would be done, and that, due to the fact that I didn't know a place to see the exact locations of that region (or, should I say, those regions), I tought that there would be several months necessary to do that. Ty for your effort, you're the best :D! TheOriginalOne 16:27, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
No problem. Though technically Explorers are still unfinished as I am missing few dungeons (10 to be precise, some are Sky-exclusive such as the Destiny Tower) and I had to use Debug Mode for few dungeons on Rescue Team (mainly the four event dungeons due to save failure disallowing WM a normal way; plus Raikou's, Suicune's, Ho-Oh's and Mewtwo's dungeons due to being lazy and not having required HMs :P). Time and Darkness' map was slightly pain in the ass, because if not our German friends, I would have no idea where Craggy Coast is on the map (as Time/Darkness map =/= Sky map, Sky is the one I have in-game), all due to being close to another location >_< Marked +-+-+ (talk) 16:35, 23 August 2012 (UTC)

Glitch Names

When you upload glitch names, please use their in-battle names. Ripping the name from the Pokédex can be problematic because 1) The Pokédex will not always display the glitch's name properly and 2) The coloring of the blocks in the name is different. Thanks --×Rsrdaman× 06:50, 6 September 2012 (UTC)

Yeah... so ok, just working on the obvious ones, because very few of those articles have actualy got the battle picture, and I, unlike you, haven't got those games (altought I'd really like to D:) TheOriginal[[Special:Contributions/TheOriginalOne|--SnorlaxMonster 02:38, 16 September 2012 (UTC)'One']] 17:21, 6 September 2012 (UTC)
Well I use ROMS on all my work as they are the only real way of obtaining images of anything from the games. I know they pose legal issues but I do actually have a real copy of Red and Yellow so I believe it's ok then. So if you don't have the Games, how do you work on the glitches? --×Rsrdaman× 01:21, 7 September 2012 (UTC)
... ... ...Why in the world are you asking me that question??? ... there are things which are just too much obvious. If you take a look at my contributions, you'll see that in fact I don't need a very close experience in order to do that. But THANKS for your ROM suggestion, I'm going to think about it. TheOriginalOne 16:33, 7 September 2012 (UTC)
It is also possible to do it via playing the GB game on GB Tower on Pokémon Stadium, and taking screenshots that way. --SnorlaxMonster 01:56, 8 September 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, but I also don't have stadium. TheOriginalOne 19:03, 8 September 2012 (UTC)
Also, when uploading the glitch names, make sure they're no taller than 8 pixels. Otherwise it messes with line spacing and can make the name look off-centered. That's also the exact height of a tile in the games so it makes it more accurate too. Oh, and when you upload the R/B names, you can just make the background white, that reddish color is there because of some offset in the palette. Thanks, and may the glitch be with you.--×Rsrdaman× 00:28, 9 September 2012 (UTC)

Thanks! Ah, last question: is it possible to perform the Johto Guard glitch with ROMs??? TheOriginalOne 20:00, 9 September 2012 (UTC)

You would need some kind of emulator that allows communication between ROMs. I have seen some that can do that (but we probably shouldn't be talking about this anyway). Example. --SnorlaxMonster 02:38, 16 September 2012 (UTC)

Is PkMn pゥぁ ゥぇ (D6) a glitch Pokémon?

Hey, TheOriginalOne. I was editing through the Yellow Glitch Pokémon, when I came across PkMn pゥぁ ゥぇ (D6). Right now, it just redirects to a disambiguation page called PkMn pゥぁ ゥぇ. I wanted to know since if it is one, I wanted to set up a basic page for it to be edited later. (Especally, since it is unusual for two glitches to have the same name.) Super goku (talk) 19:57, 15 September 2012 (UTC)

Oh s***, thanks for your comment, now I know what happened: I moved PkMn pゥぁ ゥぇ (D6) to PkMn pゥぁ ゥぇ before I knew that there was actualy a CE. Then , while I was correcting it, I couldn't undo the move, so I tried to move it again. I tought I had actualy managed it, but that was because I forgot the space (it became PkMn pゥぁ ゥぇ(D6)). So, now I was reading this comment on my talk page, and everything became clear, so that's why now I asked SnorlaxMonster to use his page deletion privilege in order to solve this problem. Thank you, without this comment the chaos would last longer! So, right now, just wait. TheOriginalOne 20:30, 15 September 2012 (UTC)
Ok, I will wait. Though, I would like to ask something to make sure I understand this. In Pokémon Yellow, there exists a glitch Pokémon called PkMn pゥぁ ゥぇ with the Hex code as D6, but right now it is listed on page with the Hex code as CE which, in turn, is a different glitch Pokémon. Is that correct? Super goku (talk) 20:39, 15 September 2012 (UTC)
Forget, SnorlaxMonster just fixed it, so that just browsing a while will make you understand everything. TheOriginalOne 18:24, 16 September 2012 (UTC)

Mew special stat

So what is your reasoning to having it N/A as opposed to — ?--×Rsrdaman× 23:16, 15 September 2012 (UTC)

... well, N/A is the default, and I think every glitch pokémon page should be equal in that matter: where's the sense in leaving some pages with one and other ones with another? TheOriginalOne 18:24, 16 September 2012 (UTC)
Leaving it as N/A makes it seem as though we don't know it yet, but we do. I put — because the stat just makes you fight a glitch trainer if its above 199. I'm going to ask SnorlaxMonster about it...--×Rsrdaman× 18:57, 16 September 2012 (UTC)
Wait! When asking to SnorlaxMonster, ask him wheter or not to change the default to —. That would be much better! TheOriginalOne 19:02, 16 September 2012 (UTC)

Incomplete templates

Don't add the {{incomplete}} template to pages with no sprite, add the {{bad image}} template. Although ゥ$'M's page is imcomplete, your reason was sprites. Just add the other template for specification. Thanks--×Rsrdaman× 19:15, 22 September 2012 (UTC)

Actually, it is {{incomplete}} that should be used for missing images (for now...). --SnorlaxMonster 19:22, 22 September 2012 (UTC)

Harassment

Please do not call other users stupid. That is extremely rude, and violates our Code of conduct. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 20:43, 28 September 2012 (UTC)

Sorry, I was actually calling it to his edits, but never mind: it won't happen again. It's because he has been corrupting that page since a long time ago, and he still clearly hasn't paid attention to my big warning on his talk page. So, you know, it gets pretty annoying. But sorry, if it is that strict, it won't happen again. TheOriginalOne 20:50, 28 September 2012 (UTC)
As the old saying goes, "Two wrongs do not make a right." Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 21:11, 28 September 2012 (UTC)

Bud, you gotta calm down. messages like this are unnecessarily aggressive. If you want to make a point, calm down and explain the situation reasonably. Don't get in someones face and start yelling at them to stop. -- MAGNEDETH 23:24, 29 September 2012 (UTC)

Ok, sorry. TheOriginalOne 23:34, 29 September 2012 (UTC)

Project notices

I see you've been adding the Project notices to manga pages. Yes, that's not how it's supposed to be done. Only when an article is truly finished is when the notice is to be added. See this page, for example. No title, no Japanese title and translation, no synopsis, no major events, the Pokemon and human information only has characters that appear in every chapter. It's empty and is not exactly deserving of the notice. Ataro (talk) 00:26, 30 September 2012 (UTC)

Is that rule exclusive to the manga? It's because I've seen many articles of other kinds almost as incomplete as those ones with the notice. TheOriginalOne 00:29, 30 September 2012 (UTC)

Edit Summaries

What makes you think it's okay to use all caps towards other editors in edit summaries? You have been warned about your attitude before. Calm down, it's not that big of a deal if there's a minor mistake. If your summaries continue, you'll face a block for intimidating behavior/harassment, because it's frankly gone on long enough. Thank you. --Pokemaster97 21:02, 8 March 2013 (UTC)

Please don't say that something is someone's fault in an edit summary. Doing so comes across as hostile and not very civil. Please keep your edit summaries civil, even if other people don't - set a good example instead of responding in kind. Werdnae (talk) 03:36, 28 April 2013 (UTC)
