Map description
A quietly following stream and hilly terrain with one-way ledges make this a fun area for adventure. Near the entrance of Eterna Forest is a cabin whose keepers offer rest to weary travelers that stop by. A wide, wooden walkway spans a large pond. Fishermen idle their time away dangling lines from the walkway.

Pokémon world routes

Route 205 (Japanese: 205ばんどうろ Route 205) is a long and complex route located in west Sinnoh. Its northeastern terminus is at Eterna City; its southwestern terminus is at Floaroma Town; its southeastern terminus is Valley Windworks. Eterna Forest is found in the middle of the route, breaking it up into two sections. The Fuego Ironworks can only be located by going through the route. A stream and a hilly terrain with one-way ledges mark this route.
Route description
Before Eterna Forest
Heading south from the Eterna Forest, the route will turn rocky. On the left, there will be a ledge, where the route comes from Fuego Ironworks, while on the right is a pathway up to the northern segment, but it is been blocked by a Cut tree. A bit further down is a house containing a lady that will heal the player's Pokémon. After that, there will be two paths to choose from. One is to continue going up on the hillside, or the other is to go down the stairs and continue along the path. The right path is not reachable when going up the route, due to a series of ledges going down the hill face. The right path is an easy walk down, where there are few trainers and a patch of loamy soil. The left path is more complex, with a large patch of tall grass, and several trainers ready for battle. Going further south on the left side, there will be a small bridge reaching the end of the hilly section. There will be large patch of grass and a honey tree beside a flowing stream that leads north to the Fuego Ironworks, and east to the Valley Windworks. The route comes further south past a bridge crossing the stream, the route splits into two directions, Floaroma Town to the left, Valley Windworks to the right.
After the player has the ability to Cut trees down, a path to the right of the south entrance of Eterna Forest becomes accessible. This path allows players to completely bypass the large amount of tall grass in Eterna Forest, and get to the other part of Route 205 more quickly.
After Eterna Forest
The northern segment of Route 205 is a small area. It starts off from the west, exiting Eterna Forest, the player has two options of reaching Eterna City. The first is to go across a bridge lead across a large pond. There will be three Fishermen fishing, ready to battle if the player talks to them. The other way of getting across is to go around the pond through a large patch of tall grass. When the player gets through the tall grass, there is a patch of loamy soil where Berries can grow. There is also a honey tree when the player goes further. By going south, then west again the player will reach Eterna City.
