Okay, I dunno if you've seen the reprint of volume 4 yet, but I bought it yesterday and Cloystered/Raging Rattata is just presented as one chapter (like in the Japanese version) called "Cloystered". So my point is, for the article do we just call it by its most recent name "Cloystered" with "Raging Rattata" as a trivia/footnote or do we keep calling it "Cloystered/Raging Rattata" because that was the first one? :P <span style="color:#006400">Zesty</span><span style="color:#3CB371">Cactus</span> 23:55, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

:Hm. I haven't gotten a chance to actually go to my bookstore. But if they changed the name, change it to the new one and list it under trivia that Cloystered/Raging Rattata was the original title for the round. --<span style="color:#00AF33;">☆</span><span style="color:#F8D030;">Cool</span><span style="color:#0098d8;">ピカチュウ!</span> 00:07, 4 December 2009 (UTC)

Phantom Thief! Pokémon 7 Article

For the Phantom Thief! Pokémon 7 Article, should I use PTP701?

Kingofun 15:02, 6 September 2009 (UTC)

I'm not the final say, but I'd actually suggest something more along the lines of "PTP7-01". "PTP701" might make it look like the 701st chapter of a manga with a "PTP" epicode as opposed to the first chapter of a manga with a "PTP7" epicode. --Shiningpikablu252 15:48, 6 September 2009 (UTC)
I'd go with P7-01, but this is not my final decision. --☆Coolピカチュウ! 20:48, 6 September 2009 (UTC)
CP's idea seems best, to me. PTP7-01 is just too long. --electAbuzzzz 21:05, 6 September 2009 (UTC)

Hey I got a little idea for you.

With the movie redirects you can put "Arceus Movie" or "Shaymin Movie". Just with the main Pokémon. Or you've done this already? Just a little idea.--Midnight Blue 02:10, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

Seems like a good-ish idea, but I'd go ask Kenji-girl for a second opinion since she is in charge of the anime project. --☆Coolピカチュウ! 02:13, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

Help suggesting something to improve all Pokémon pages?

Um, I was wondering if there was any to suggest maybe to place the correct pronunciation of each Pokémon's name on their page, using tools such as enPR [1], IPA[2], SAMPA [3], or any other method of conveying pronunciation. I know many times I've heard people pronounce a name wrong or the name doesn't phonetically represent the way its spelled and it would always be nice to have up for reference. I'd totally be up for helping construct the way it would be done or helping contribute to it by using my knowledge of the three systems I listed to transcribe names. This could even be used for other things, like town/city names, etc. Just, let me know if you think it'd be a good idea to suggest this, and if so, where I would go about these means. - JWhitt 06:02, 16 September 2009 (UTC)

Well, thank you for your concern on the pronunciations for Pokémon and the cities. But, this issue has been and was done before. Then later on they were removed from the pages due to the media having different ways to pronunce them so it was all a hassle and decided to remove them so it is currently removed from the pages. Thank you your consern and time on this issue. --☆Coolピカチュウ! 06:11, 16 September 2009 (UTC)
I see. Makes sense. Thanks for taking the time to read it out, though, lol. - JWhitt 06:13, 16 September 2009 (UTC)

Hey Mr. Manga

Do you want this picture of Misty in her Special section.

File:Misty-in-Pokemon-Special.png

The user claims this is their vector rendering of Misty in the Special manga. Truthfully, I don't prefer it. It looks too fanart-ish and it doesn't match the other pictures that you uploaded of the Gym Leaders in the manga.

So what do you think? This is your department. --ケンジガール 20:49, 17 September 2009 (UTC)

I agree with you, it looks too much like fanart to have it on the manga section of Misty's page. Unless Mato had released actual art of her, before she left of her disease, we are just gonna have to settle for what we have. --☆Coolピカチュウ! 22:51, 17 September 2009 (UTC)

Manga Images

See Mitsumi as an example. About half the page is filled with images, and the captions are too short to fully fill up the big boxes... true, there can be change in px, but there should be a limit of how large the images are. Maybe follow the image concept like the anime, or even Special. ht14 21:35, 23 September 2009 (UTC)

Yes that is an issue and there should be a size limit though. But Special doesn't even have a "size" limit to its images. --☆Coolピカチュウ! 21:36, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
I'll agree... however, the images are at least more reasonable than the ones with Pokémon DP... ht14 21:38, 23 September 2009 (UTC)

Hey, can you answer a quick question for me? Manga

Sup so I did some editing on the Red page and I have been asking about seperate pages for trainers pokemon. I already hear "not notable enough" on Aero and Lax, but if you need pages on other pokemon just let me know. If you want an okay on my work, check the Red and Blue chapter on the red page where i put down all of his volume 1 adventures. I plan on doing stuff like that with every volume I complete and I should end up with pretty tight main character articles at the end of the month. Feel free to voice your opinion. BrokenMotor 03:20, 8 November 2009 (UTC)

Hello, seems you are doing a great job with Special Adventures keep it up. Though, fix your sentence structure and some grammar. Yes, Lax and Aero were not notable in terms of actually doing anything besides battling. Which comes to this in terms to see what makes a Pokémon notable. Though if you are going to expand Adventure articles, I'd recommend also doing summaries on the rounds. They really need them right now though some articles do have summaries already. So keep up the good work and fix on the issues I have said and you'll be good. --Coolピカチュウ! 03:43, 8 November 2009 (UTC)

PS###

Shouldn't they be changed to PA### or something now? tc²₆tc26 03:56, 8 November 2009 (UTC)

Nope. It as decided by the EB that several manga released in English will stay at their Japanese title. So Pokémon Adventures and several others will stay how they currently are. --Coolピカチュウ! 03:57, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
That's so ironic... ht14 04:02, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
There's a reason behind this, we're not just being inconsistent. You see, epicodes are sorta like production codes. If we changed them to English, than we'll have to change all of them. That means, for example, changing H (for Hoso) into, say, PC (for Pokémon Chronicles). However, Chronicles also included other stuff. So what do we call Legend of Thunder? PC01-03? And what do we use for Pikachu shorts that were also a part of Chronicles? PK or PC? And what about Pikachu shorts that were merged together into one Chronicles episode? In short, using English epicodes is a gigantic mess. It's simply not doable, because some canons have different numbering in English and in Japanese. --electAbuzzzz 11:16, 8 November 2009 (UTC)

Map of the Frontier Front.

You uploaded a 2D map of it like my Battle Frontier map, you did that manually, or used an action replay code like me? If it's an action replay code, mind sharing? --Master Emerald 11:50, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

I would say manually since I was messing around with the game locations and trying to find the code. I ended up with a 2-D Frontier Front but no code so I'm still trying to find it. --Coolピカチュウ! 20:32, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

Electric Tale Coloration Inconsitencies

In a revision summary for ET08, ElectAbuzzzz stated "that's the theme CP used for the rest of them, we need to be consistent. Either they're all Kanto or they're all Pika". As such, there's an inconsistency between chapters and volumes. The chapters use the Pika scheme (a scheme created for the Pikachu shorts), whereas the volumes use Kanto for the first three and Orange for the fourth (corresponding to their places in the main anime). Should I go ahead and switch the chapters we've got to the Kanto scheme to match the volumes (we don't yet have any articles for chapters that take place in the Orange Islands), since this particular manga is derived from the main anime as opposed to the Pikachu shorts (as well as to keep consistency with the volume articles of Ash and Pikachu, another main anime-based manga of which use Johto and Hoenn schemes)? Thanks. --Shiningpikablu252 15:55, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

I do agree it should be Kanto theme, BTW, I meant to bring this up with you on AIM tonight. I just changed that chapter to Pika temporarily since they should all be the same scheme. Your call, though. --electAbuzzzz 16:12, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

Spanish help

I need help with getting info from a Spanish Pokémon fansite: http://www.zonasafari.net/ Basically, they have NPC headshot sprites from Colosseum and XD that we have permission to use here on the 'pedia. However, several are missing and I was wondering if you could talk to them about sending us a zip file or something with the missing sprites if they have them. It's just that our German counterparts are also kinda keen on them. Thanks in advance --Manga-in-a-bottle 02:10, 27 November 2009 (UTC)

Hm...okay. But which are the needed sprites from Colo/XD? Also, I think the last time I spoke to them they mentioned something about not having all the sprites so I'll get back to you on it. --Coolピカチュウ! 03:17, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
Well, so far I've had requests for the female Hunter Sprite from Colosseum, the male Chaser from Colosseum (red hair, yellow neck scarf and purple shirt), and the VR Trainer from XD, but I think that last one doesn't actually have it's own sprite and just uses other in-game sprites. I think there are other sprites, but I've never actually played either games so I have no way of being certain...--Manga-in-a-bottle 11:27, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
Okay then. I'll do it when since I'm sick at the moment I'll get on it as soon as I can. --Coolピカチュウ! 03:39, 29 November 2009 (UTC)

Adventures scans...

Hey there. So I brought a couple of Pokesupe volumes to school with me today (volumes 2 and 30, to be exact) so that I could scan some better images for some manga articles — I've already uploaded the higher-quality scans for Ditty, if you want to take a look. The thing is that they're scans from the Japanese printings, not the VIZ versions; I hope that's okay, and that there's not some iron-clad rule about "ENGLISH WIKI, ENGLISH MANGA SCANS" or something. :P (The Japanese books just hold up so much better to being stuffed in a scanner! I think it's the glue they use...)

I also made some better scans of some of Red's Pokemon (Lax, Kra, and the shot of Blue's Pokemon), but I decided that it would be best not to go and add the scans to a featured article if I'm not 100% sure that they'd be okay. If I get the OK, I'll put them up.

I was planning to make a better scan of Chimhiko as a Chimchar, but people are staring at me now, so...

Btw, if the bit of text at the top of the Ditty-as-Mew scan is undesired, I saved the raw scan so I can easily edit it out. :) 梅子 20:41, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

I'm not CP but I've seen Japanese manga scans before for English-released manga around the site before... and I've uploaded a few myself from some Pokémon Special/Adventures volumes I bought in Japan. I don't think it's a big deal :P ZestyCactus 23:57, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

PS045

Okay, I dunno if you've seen the reprint of volume 4 yet, but I bought it yesterday and Cloystered/Raging Rattata is just presented as one chapter (like in the Japanese version) called "Cloystered". So my point is, for the article do we just call it by its most recent name "Cloystered" with "Raging Rattata" as a trivia/footnote or do we keep calling it "Cloystered/Raging Rattata" because that was the first one? :P ZestyCactus 23:55, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

Hm. I haven't gotten a chance to actually go to my bookstore. But if they changed the name, change it to the new one and list it under trivia that Cloystered/Raging Rattata was the original title for the round. --Coolピカチュウ! 00:07, 4 December 2009 (UTC)
